Too embarrassed to come on here yesterday, because I had a day off flying
. Met a good friend after school drop off and we went Xmas shopping together, ending up drinking hot chocolate, eating croissants and talking until I realised I was late for MIL's lunch and had to run back home.
Today, I have had to catch up on everything I didn't do yesterday, so I have only just dared to turn the computer on (otherwise I lose an hour or two).
So far, I have:
Done the packed lunches, school run, etc
Put the rubbish out for collection
Put recycling out
Been to the chemist for MIL
Made B/F and tea for MIL
Bought stamps, cards and Daily Mail
for MIL
Booked hair appt for MIL
Washed up and put away
Emptied d/w
Shined my sink properly (bleach and all
)
Emptied bin
Cleared out fridge of out-of-date food
Cleaned fridge with bicarb of soda
Taken in online Tesco order and put away
Put Xmas box away again (taken out by overenthusiastic DS2 yesterday and contents spilled all over the floor)
Put washing on
Made lunch
To do:
Swish and swipe bathroom
Change towel in b/rm
Check all Xmas presents and work out if I have bought enough and equally for both boys
Write some Xmas cards
Put tumbledrier on
Put some washing away
School run (nb snack for ds2)
Dinner on (roast beef and Yorkshire pud)
Put clean sheets on our bed
Hoover
Tidy our bedroom (DH put out three binbags of rubbish at the weekend, so why does it still look so cluttered?)
Wash up & put away
Bath and bedtime routines for DC
Evening routine (lay clothes out, etc)
Early bedtime for me
Ellie - so sorry to hear about your DH's work. What a rotten time for it to happen too. Thank you for your roundup - much needed on this busy thread.
Deck - hope you feel better soon
Linzer - sorry about work. It never arrives at the right time, does it? I hope you manage to finish it all right and in spite of your DC.
Madwoman - are you married to 'madman'? That might explain why your DH is contemplating handing his notice in early
. Or maybe he knows he will be snapped up easily elsewhere.
Optimistic - sounds like your DS is astonishingly calm and collected about his Oxford interviews. When will he hear if he has an offer? You deserve to have a permanent 'proud mummy' emoticon next to your name at the moment.
Must get on with Xmas stuff now. Sorry for not naming everyone else, but I shall be here for another half hour if I do that. Waves to everyone though.
