Hello ladies Smile

Comtessa Sorry you are struggling Sad I went into prem labour with DS (DD too actually) and had random bouts of contractions from then on (28wks) DS was born by elcs at 40+10 weighing 9lb 2oz. It was calm and civilised but there was no way of having him naturally, due to his size he never dropped and the contractins were just my body desperately trying to get him down into position. The best way of looking at it is that you have until 42wks, otherwise you can get really down. I don't know what sort of birth you are hoping for, but cs can be lovely too (iyswim?) so try to keep calm and plan something nice to do everyday to keep yourself from getting too down - reflexology is lovely and can help bring on labour too!

DONE

Shower
DD bath (had an accident shortly after getting up)
Everyone dressed

Ali, last year I was so busy at work in the lead up to Christmas that my Christmas was ruined. This year I am off because I due to start a new job in January, and so I am making the most of it. Have done all presents for DCs, plus their stockings. DH's main present and a stocking. PILS, my Dad, my brother and SIL and their baby, and my grandmother. Still need to finish DH's relatives, but he can probably do those. About to move onto Christmas cards I think. Have really enjoyed it this year and done it early so I get what I want not what is left at the end when I realise I am too late for internet orders.

minimammoth · 22/11/2010 17:01

Oh Woe. Everything a mess. been out most of day so nowt done and am in London for a meeting tomorrow. Might do bit of xmas shopping though, so not all bad. So no list although badly need one.

  • Tackle the laundry - fold dry done 1 load in done hang up done next load in done hung up done
  • Kitchen - pot catch up most , clean sides down done and floor, tidy up the Duplo that was air-drying done

WastingAway · 22/11/2010 17:30

Must add I've been tidying up DS toys, he'd managed to tip stuff up, and it needed doing anyway, so it's mostly done now too.

minimammoth · 22/11/2010 17:43

Yes Wasting. (DD1's christmas pres)It looks fab and I think I shall get one for myself. The carrot cake is gluten and diary free, with carrots, so virtually health food.

JustKeepSparkling · 22/11/2010 17:45

I've got lots of Christmas sorted, but still bits to do, cards included. Though new plan this year;
FB friends get sent my round robin letter & I put Happy Christmas on my status :)
Non-FB friends that I have email adds for get sent the letter & Happy Christmas :)
the others get a card with letter - hoping this is 20 max as i have some cards left over from last year :)

Saving the planet is my excuse Grin

We are having a lazy day here today. DS is having a TV fest and I'm looking for christmas presents online.

Comtessa don't worry - take advantage of your last few days of alone time! It is perfectly allowed not to get dressed when you've got a newborn, infact I recommend that you don't for at least a week unless you really are desperate to. It reminds those around you that you have had a baby and are in a recovery period!
