Hello Smile

Not caught up yet, just wanted to mark my threads to catch up with later as have been on holiday.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 19/11/2010 13:09

Plum writing stuff down definitely a good thing, I remember when I wrote that mahoosive thread about H before we split and it was amazing how much clearer it made everything. Like some stuff seemed really petty when written down and I realised it was only annoying me because I was already annoyed with him about other things and then there was some other stuff I hadn't really given much thought to and then writing it down made me think OMG that's actually really bad.

Comtessa I am going to share how I went into labour, though I probably shouldn't recommend it Grin With dd I went for a really long walk (without my phone) and really stomped along. Then I went home and ran upstairs and jumped down them a few times. Then spent evening bouncing up and down really vigorously on birthing ball. Went into labour early hours of morning. With ds I was a lot more knackered and had had on off contractions for a few days, did the long walk but less stompy, left out the jumping down stairs and bounced on ball, contractions through the eve really got going around midnight. Basically put lots of pressure on cervix Grin

Comtessa, I went for a long bus ride, most of it standing up (b@stards!) had a mars bar and a can of coke, and started getting niggles the next day.

Hurumph,

Been away from home for two days, only to find out that DH has chucked a glass of red wine on the brand new cream carpet and was unable to get it out.... looks terrible (the carpet, not my DH!). He's tried salt, bicarb and Vanish! Poor fella. Any tips girls?

Glad its Friday, busy week this week. As Mini said, saw midwife on Wednesday and baby seems to be ok, heart beat was music to my ears!

Keeping fingers crossed for Comtessa's new arrival over the weekend!

I'll be buying paint for the babies room.

minimammoth · 19/11/2010 17:54

HicCups.I think you can get a spray on carpet cleaner that will do the job, will ahve alook in cupboard, we have ahd similar spills and removed.
May go xmas shopping tomorrow. Bracing self.

HicUps · 19/11/2010 17:57

Thanks mom Grin, let me know what it is. I'll get some tomorrow. x

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2010 17:59

Oh dear Hicups about the carpet. Maybe worth wetting with white wine and then dabbing (gently) with kitchen towel until you can't get anymore red out.
otherwise buy some proper carpet cleaner?

HicCups try Vanish carpet and upholstery Foam spray.

minimammoth · 19/11/2010 18:04

It In a Pink spray container, JKS's white wine idea will loosen it though.

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2010 18:09

Just no rubbing (unless desperate!)

purplearmadillo · 19/11/2010 18:13

JKS - glad its not just me, I can hardly ever manage to do anything in the evenings. I may rush around during the day but I do feel evening is my time.

Thanks for help. DH has already rubbed in well in!!! Shock

JustKeepSparkling · 19/11/2010 18:50

I suspected as much (knowing my dh who has done similar).

We actually got our carpets professionally cleaned in the end as they were so filthy so the red wine stains didn't matter as they came out then.

HicUps · 19/11/2010 18:55

Well.. we'll have a baby soon, so it will no doubt get a lot of damage then!

He's just managed to spill it in a long line in a place that I can't hide it easily! Fingers crossed for Vanish Carpet stuff.

He has just brought me waffle and ice-cream, which kind makes up for it Smile
