morning all, back in a mo with links and lists..........

OP posts:
swanriver · 14/10/2010 23:19

Well OFM ds2 not diagnosed with Asperger's (6 not 7 on their rating, 7 is Asperger) after CAHMS but saying a lot of poo bumm and stuck a coin up hs nose today Grin and still sits on people in Beavers.
dh with sentence of death/surgery over him GrinGrin[gallows] waiting for result of biopsy
otherwise very quiet - off to Eire by myself on Sat for two days to wander around peacefully.

It probably feels like everyone is making demands of you every second of day - you are amazing to deal with so many things at once. Dd4 is right, school reading books are boring, what a clever girl. My extremely motivated conscientious working friend takes days off if her child is sent back from nursery like your ds2, she has just developed a thick skin over last 10 years of such things inevitably happening with three kids. There is nothing she can do to prevent it happening and her workplace has to just acknowledge it will happen once in a while.

Lovely to see you here, we have missed you a lot, it's dull without you. Nutty and I are cheering ourselves with memories of the Portobello Road.

OverflowingMum · 15/10/2010 07:13

swan gosh...lots going on for you too. Hope everything resolves soon and well for DH and that things improve with DS2

so...am posting bright and early in hope of motivating myself for the day!

Tis my day off from paid work...so obviously I will be more ridiculously busy than any other day this week!(also I had a glass or 2 of wine last night and now feeling a bit fragile!)

So... a little list...

6 kids up, breakfasted washed and dressed - in progress
5 kids to school
shops- trousers and trainers for dd1, jumper for ds1
home - pack things for dd1 ds1 and dd2 (going on an activity weekend)
attempt to tidy and clean as much as possible in whatever time I have left
2pm - school for Harvest festival
3.15 meet DH and DS1 at dd's school and take oldest 3 to outdoor activity centre
Home - feed littlies...dunno what...freezer food I think!
littlies bath and bed
look into statementing process for dd3
collapse in heap on sofa

right folks....
BBLGrin

prof I think I'm on the dyslexic spectrum. I think I would have continued college if I got the help. But I would have gone into advertising, got drunk and maybe a cocaine addict!! No seriously. I think the extra help in education is fabulous but... once at work maybe she should think about dropping the label. I have a friend who is dyslexic at work. She was going along swimmingly when she got a new supervisor who then wanted to mirco manage her for personal ends. The manager wanted her as a project to show on her promotion application! It a long story but my friend lost control of her own future because of this woman. Just words are powerful. Understand the educational needs of yours or others is helpful. Apparently dyslexics are good problem solvers.
Back in a mo got to get the w/m loaded and booted.

I have reaDBACK, AND TPT --ANY CHANCE OF A PICTURE OF YOUR DH-PRESENT. IT SOUNDS VERY INERESTING.[SMILE]

OOPS Caps lock. Sorry.

I am rediscovering the kids bedroom floors today. In theory they are supposed to clean them themselves, but tbh, I have more time than them at the moment, and once the homeworkbattles are done I can't face naggingthem to tidy up as well....

swanriver · 15/10/2010 14:14

I'm now going to try putting a new ink cartridge in printer. Wish me luck.
Have also dodged issue by photocopying lots of pages for dcs' project.

Jas · 15/10/2010 14:21

Our printer was inkless for a whole year due to the cost of replacing it, and then the fact that I couldn't find where to put it....I discovered you needed to have it plugged in and turned on to replace the inkBlush

SimplySparkling · 15/10/2010 14:27

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been missing this week. I've been having a big chuck out. I gave 3 bags to the charity shop the other day and I've got another 3 bags waiting in the boot of the car to go. Well, I've just finished lunch (I like a late lunch these days, I don't know why) so I'm going to crack on with the chucking out whilst I'm in the mood! Sorry that I haven't done any individual messages.

Nuttybear · 15/10/2010 14:42

I did wonder where you all where Smile It's 2.30pm and I have done my Chores Yippe! Even with the lost hour to MN! Cuppa before putting swimming stuff together & a sandwich for DS
Jas Don't worry. We brought DS a Wii (because I wanted one so he doesn't know it's my birthday present as well!) Can I make the bloody TV work with it! I've read the manuel of the T.V and it's driving me nuts. I'm sure it something simple Blush
I'll look at your Christmas thread when I get a mo!
Prof Love your idea. Not sure what you mean by Die cut I adore maps and have passed this on to DS! I agree that some of these companies are having people over a barrel!
Right back with a list you can all ignore!Grin

Waiting for a Chinese :)

Nuttybear · 15/10/2010 20:28

Wendy great kid

wendyhappysmile · 15/10/2010 20:38

hi all
glad you're all ok
OFM glad to see you back, think you are coping BRILLIANTLY and are a great mum to your children!
dyls glad placement going well

all waves lots

Had a busy day with family and friends, and jobs, nice walk around local lake with a new friend and her little one.

Busy weekend too, DD has dancing then a party, then a 2.5 hr rehearsal for her dance show on Sunday! She is only 3, bit worried we have bitten off more we can chew putting her in a show at her age! Meant to be leaving her at the rehearsal, but think she is too little to be left for 2.5 hours! We'll see how it goes. She is going to be shattered by Sunday night, but is so looking forward to the show and being on the stage Grin

BB tomorrow

OverflowingMum · 16/10/2010 10:21

morning all

wendy great news about baby whoohooo!
dyls glad your enjoying your placement. There are 2 teachers who job share at dd's school - both very different, but it works really well and I think the kids get a lot out of 2 different styles too!
swan hope your enjoying lovely peaceful (soggy?) Eire!
everyone else Hi!!!

well, yeterday was just non-stop! Had to go to shops for last minute essential items needed for dc trip...then dashed home to finish packing for them(now thinking why on earth my 10 yr old didn't manage to pack for herself???? - although quite impressed ds1 did manage to do it!)Then mad dash up to Harvest festival....
Met DH and DS1 at dd's school, then went straight to drop off Ds1, DD1 and DD2 at activity weekend...traffic terrible and we got lost so took ages!!Home and quick tea for litlles then bed....pizza for me and DH(there goes the diet again!) and I fell asleep sitting on sofa at 7.45 LOL
You will notice that NO cleaning or tidying manage to make its way into my day...so house remained a pit!
However think DH feels sorry for me (had a bit of a rant the other night about how overwhelmed I was feeling!) so he got up with littlies this morning and has done some cleaning whilst I stayed in bed till 9!
Have promised little 3 a trip to an indoor play centre this pm (will be horrible and busy but we dont go often!) - sort of treat as big ones got to go on trip! Then will be easy tea I think again...
Do need to do SOME essential household tasks this morning...washing catch up at least!
And also trying to sort out business of Statementing for DD3.....

right, hope you're all having fun....

BBLGrin

OverflowingMum · 16/10/2010 10:24

wendy DD1 was in a dancing show when she was 3! I thought at the time it was a bit much...but she loved it.She did apparently cover her entire face in lipstick whilst getting ready backstage once, and did pick her nose on stage in the front row one night...but other than that was fab LOL LOLGrin!!

OverflowingMum · 16/10/2010 18:10

blimey...where is everyone today????

anyway...have survived indoor play place, then dh took dc to McD for tea Shock not something we do very often....but was a treat for them and a way out of cooking tea for us LOL
I have been for a 6 mile run....and have drafted letter to school re DD3 Statement...
done minimal ammount of washing and houe still a tip, but am now snuggling up on sofa with dd 3and 4 watching Stricltly!
Will definately have to do some house blitzing tomorrow!

Hope you're all off having lots of funGrin

dylsmum1998 · 16/10/2010 19:57

Wendy hope dd enjoys her show Smile

Grin at OFM and her dd's dance show

Have had a busy day here, I didn't wake up til 8.15 then laid in bed while ds read in bed and dd slept til 9.20am. She then got upset as she had slept through her swimming lesson, but as she had been poorly yesterday I didn't wake her up. I then had a mission getting her to eat breakfast get showered and out the door to meet her dad as it is her weekend at his house. Heigh ho she went eventually lol.
Ds and I popped to town to get a maths set so he could do his homework, got dd a new duvet and pillow. Then off to ds's swimming lesson. he swam 250m and got the hump when his teacher asked him to stop. Understood ds point teacher had said swim as many lengths as you can I want to see how much you can do, then stopped him as he managed more than anticipated Grin.

Off to MIL's and helped her unpack for the afetrnoon nicked some fabric etc she doesn't want.

since I have been home I have;
tidied
hoovered
sort dry washing
wash up
sorted recycling
load washer x2
unload washer
stripped dc beds.
had chinese
mended dd's bridesmaid dress
2nd coat on ds's new drawers

to do
unload washer
iron
should really do some maths but thinking I will sit and do it all during the day tomorrow before dc come home ( think I may have some English to do as well, must check!)

well off to the ironing now I guess

have a good evening all
