Stubborn burnt rice in pan

So I spectacularly burnt the rice last night - thought I was going into labour (I wasn't Angry), and was dealing with tired toddler, and have cold so couldn't smell it burning until the smoke alarm went off! So it was a pretty horrific mess to be honest!

Anyway, I've managed to get a thick layer of burntness off, but still have persistent black rice-grain shaped marks all over the bottom of the pan. To get it to this state, I have tried:

  1. Boiling up water with washing up liquid in it then leaving to soak
  2. Mix of vinegar and bicarb then heated that
  3. Leaving overnight with boiling water and washing up liquid

So now just left with the stubborn stains right on the bottom. What would you recommend I try next? I'm 10 days overdue and need to take my mind off that, so I'm willing to spend hours getting this bloody pan to shine like new if necessary!

Need biological washing powder - or napisan or biotex. Tis the enzymes apparently
PS good luck with impending arrival Grin
