OP posts:
Alicetheinvisible · 13/08/2010 15:18

JKS and Ali please do not get yourself worked up. I know it is easy for me to say from the other end of pregnancy, but what will be will be, and at that early stage there is nothing you can do to make it work if it is not going to, and very little that will harm it if it is a sticky one. I will keep everything crossed for you both (well, apart from my legs as that would not be helpful in my current situation Grin)

I meant to say i saw consultant on Tuesday, not thursday, and they are happy to let me go til next thursday for my cs. Have a pre-op on monday too. I am now going on thursday being baby date, if he comes before then bonus.

DD said this morning "Baby brother, hurry up, i want my pink camera" little minx!

JustKeepSwimming · 13/08/2010 16:55

Alice -i know :) and LOL at your DD, DS1 has read a book about a big brother giving a new baby a teddy and the parents then buy the big brother a present, so (AFAIK he doesn't know i'm pg) he's keen for me to have another baby. great logic!

Fingers crossed nothing comes of the spotting jks and ali

PlumBumMum · 15/08/2010 11:11

Morning all, It is lovely sunny & warm here, but farmer spreading dung again thank goodness only have 1 wash to do
Sunny weather typical when going on hols

ALICE PMSL at your dd she is a hoot,
can you ask your dh a question Maggie is getting very bored in utility room and is standing/walking well(of her own accord and sitting (re-adjusts her leg abit), vet didn't say how long to heal,
supposed to be bringing her back on Thursday but obv we are away, and BIL & SIL are going to mind her instead of FIL, they have a smallish enclosed back will it be okay for them to let her out.
So far she has been a good judge of her own abilities, just afraid she might get carried away, and 1 more thing vet had her on metacam(?) for 10 days, which will run out while we are away, wondering if she would need more,
(just incase I don't get in contact with vet tomorrow)
Vet also wanted to see her to take staples out of her tail and examine that BUT she has already taken them out[oops] and the little bit they were stapling is no where to be found, her tail looks well healed despite this

PlumBumMum · 15/08/2010 11:19

Alicetheinvisible · 15/08/2010 14:36

Plum if she is happy then would let her be the best judge tbh, but the metacam will mask some pain so you might find she is sorely again once it is out of her system. Could she be led out round the garden to start with?

PlumBumMum · 15/08/2010 15:05

Thanks Alice she is very happy, so will let her out tomorrow in the morning see how she is, then will know better for BIL/SIL

Have been out helping dh get some work done, so now off to Iron and pack!

Alicetheinvisible · 15/08/2010 15:33

DH said he can't give you definite advice as not seen any x-rays etc, so go with what your vet has said if any doubt. hope that helps!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/08/2010 15:33

Grey start but now sunny here too Smile

Poor Maggie plum, funny how animals become part of the family so quickly.

Have you ironed and packed yet? I put my ironing board up and put the ironing on it on friday in the hope that would make me do it but nope, have just been walking round it instead Blush

Erm I haven't been shopping so need to use what I've got for dinner. I have courgettes, mushrooms, carrots, a jacket potato, onions, a parsnip, garlic, philly, 2 slices of ham, an egg, cheddar, rice, pasta, lentils, kidney beans, chickpeas, tinned tomatoes, a few left over baked beans, fish fingers, chicken nuggets....any ideas????

I thought maybe stuffed courgettes with the mushrooms, ham, philly etc as the stuffing but I'm not feeling that inspired by it.

PlumBumMum · 15/08/2010 18:19

I have done some ironing I am going to make dinner and then start finish packing properly

PlumBumMum · 15/08/2010 18:22

Oh and Freak Grin I'm not going to even think where that conversation could end up, whats his situation now, still the same as before?

minimammoth · 15/08/2010 19:18

Hi everyone, Am back.A bit knackered so no energy to do list right now.
Alice - where is baby invisible? Still invisible clearly.

OP posts:
FreakoidOrganisoid · 15/08/2010 19:40

Hi mini, feet up and some gin then Grin

Lol plum; he said he couldn't stop thinking about it and wished it could happen for real, I said well it can't and told him I didn't want the details as am frustrated enough as it is. Then he apologised and said he hoped he hadn't offended me. I said no and that was that really.

Yep situation still the same, living with gf. I think, and this is a big minus about him, that he kind of went for the easy option. Split up with dc mum, she was interested, he liked her too, their ds' are friends, so they got together then because he was staying at his nans he was at gf's a lot then kind of fell into staying there every night and then moved in without really thinking about the future or whether they'd be together long term. I'm not saying there is anything wrong in their relationship or that he doesn't care about her/love her because I think he does but at the same time he has said a few things that imply he doesn't think it is forever. And I think if he'd had his own place it would have gone a lot slower. I do hope it works out for them though Smile

PlumBumMum · 16/08/2010 08:19

Freak don't be so nice we want you to have wcGrin

Grin plum. Not sure I do though...I mean he is lovely (and fit obviously) but I'm not sure I would be able to trust him after the way he has been with me whilst with his gf...He's not a cheat in that he wouldn't actually do anything but wanting to and flirting is bad enough imo

Waiting for bunkbeds, which means I am doing very little other than just waiting Hmm. Have loads I could be doing.

Bastard new phone is broken. Picked it up off mantlepiece yesterday and the top right section of screen is black-looks likea crack but without being able to feel a crack iyswim.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/08/2010 11:41

Hello Slatterns :)

Still spotting here, have been to the Drs this morning but she can't refer me until Wednesday when there have been 7 days of continuous spotting. Bah, stupid rule. She is lovely though and in so many words told me she will def. refer me on Wednesday regardless of whether I get more spotting tomorrow and Wednesday. Nice dark line on the test I did in the surgery though, so that's something at least. So I am feeling in limbo and can't get myself organised to do anything.

Back in a bit with some sort of list.
