JKS MIL is off to Florida on Tuesday and dhs brothers are away on Stag next weekend so FIL will be home alone so she is going to stay in their utility room, he'll spoil her rotten.

Welcome newbees.

I am a slatternly slattern who has lapsed with my lists.

We have just had new carpet fitted upstairs. All the furniture is in the garage, there are bits everywhere. I need to do some serious work.

It's a lesson to us all slatterns. You do need to regularly dust furniture tops and pull them out and clean backs and skirting. It was really quite grim.

Still to do
Hoover everywhere.
Put furniture back in bedrooms.
Polish tops of furniture
Put stuff back on tops of furniture/in drawers
Take old carpets to skip
Throw some stuff out.

Arrrgh

JKS - love it that slatterns can even come up with solutions to fox poo in garden.

Oh HMHB - i dread to think what some of the backs/underneaths of some cupboards are like!!

JKS I'm in the same boat, dhs friend came to cut our grass it had got soo long and wet, he has a special small almost harvester thing, so they did a deal dh services his jeep he cuts our grass jungle this time, anyway had to make lunch then we all sat talking so nothing done, actually didn't realise time,
have a bloomin cake to do too!

definitely need a list especially as dd's have started packing & and cases aren't out of attic yet so you can just imagine

got ds super mario2 for his b'day so have been helping him, will keep his cards for the holiday

OH Ali took ages to get into The girl with Dragon Tattoo but it has started to get very interesting,
glad holiday is coming up as haven't had a chance to sit and read, and have the other 2, although don't think I will get through them all

JKS - DH got the front done of our grass, but stalled on the back because HE WAS WASHING HIS BLOODY CAR AGAIN! I have to laugh or I will cry. It has been so wet here on and off the last 2 weeks, the grass has gone bananas.

Also re. health insurance - don't Jersey come under the European Health Cards?

Plum - at your DDs already packing! I used to do that. Would write a list about 10 days in advance, then get my case out and start making piles of things ticking them off as I went. My Mum would be up until the wee sma's the night before we went frantically stuffing things in for her, Dad and my brothers

when I went to hospital for date for induction they told me I was 1 cm dilated, quickly followed by but you could have been that all along because its not your first pg, I was soo deflated!

Alice that doesn't sound very hopeful! Mine was high but they still induced me with DS - he started headbutting my cervix which made it swell up and close rather than dilating. Hence emcs.
At least you won't have that! Is it possible your c-section might be brought forward at all?

I had a bit of spotting last night :(:( Just a brownish smear when I wiped (sorry, sorry TMI I know) but it has made me worry. Feel rotten today though, really really sick. DS and I have got pizza for lunch because I couldn't even face making a sandwich. Bleugh.

Ali - i've had lots of spotting too, am keeping the possibility in my head that this may not work out, what with being ill the other day too.
But then i had loads of spotting, in fact near-enough periods at 4, 8 & 12 weeks with DS1 and he's fine.

JKS it's worrying isn't it? I'm going to ring my Mum in a bit (she was at work this morning or I'd have been on the phone sooner!!) and see what she thinks. She's a GP and has done loads of obstetrics and antenatal stuff over the years so I'm hoping she can reassure me - or tell me I need to go and get scanned and that I'm not being an obsessive loon!
