Hi. Just that. Has anyone ever regretted homeschooling their children or wished they had done something differently?

I was homeschooled for significant chunks of my childhood and I don't think it did me any good. I know others who feel the same.

Every Home Ed child I have taught has been behind when they return to school. The parents invariably say how ahead their children are.

This is primary by the way.

I always regret it from the Christmas before GCSEs but by then it’s too late 🤣. Just the youngest to go now, he took 1 last year, will take more this year and next. We’re a neuro-diverse family with 4 children who have multiple disabilities and issues. Home Ed means they can control the amount of social interaction they have, can take themselves off when they need to and can take the time they need to work on skills that their peers find easier to acquire.
One works in London in his chosen profession, the next works from her home in an admin role and has said she will HE her own children. The next is at college now but is quite disabled and will never live independently.
There are pros and cons to everything obviously but I don’t think my lot have suffered too much.
