I have 6 bedding sets to buy 😩
all the teens want different colours which I can get from M&S, dunelm or next

but looking for something white and good quality for the master & guest rooms

where is the best place for something that will wash well, not need ironing & not go yellow

Rise and Fall

I get lovely stuff from Very (formerly Littlewoods, still Littlewoods in Ireland), they tend to tell you what the bedding is made of.

Pancakeflipper · 15/07/2025 17:34

TKMax often get good white bedding in. I've a few sets from there, and they've lasted well.

Offcom · 15/07/2025 17:42

I’ve found myself replacing White Company bedding just because I fancy a change after years and years, not because it’s worn out.

That said, I swear by using Vanish White to keep sheets and towels white from the outset rather than waiting until they’re discoloured. (Back when I used to get service washes, the woman at the laundrette remembered me as the one with the really white sheets. One of the best moments of my life.)

Limth · 15/07/2025 17:47

I only have white high TC 100% cotton bedding. TK Maxx can be good but hit and miss what's available on a given day.

Otherwise, Dunelm is great particularly their hotel collection (I think it's called). Or John Lewis.

As an aside, I'd avoid bamboo bedding like the plague 🤨 It comea up big and its meant to shrink to size after a wash or two. Reader, it does not.

thank you I got some lovely looking white set off JL, and a natural for the other room
dont know why I didn’t think of there

IKEA and Dusk

Dusk

Piglet in Bed have some really nice quality sets, I have a nice stripey set but bought it in the sale.
Other than that my plain ones are from M&S, have had a few sets for years that just last and last.

notnorman · 15/07/2025 22:05

Rise and fall or piglet in bed. White linen is sublime

biedrona · 15/07/2025 22:20

John Lewis no longer does good quality, was disappointed with some recent purchases.
Piglet in bed is great, my recent discovery

MH0084 · 15/07/2025 22:24

Try Tbco for something a bit extra special!

JulesJules · 15/07/2025 22:25

John Lewis. They also stock Piglet in bed.

SecretFerret · 15/07/2025 22:37

Joe brown for colourful sheets, it's the only way to identify different sized sets in my chaotic airing cupboard. Got some amazing tartan sheets recently!

EverythingIsComputer · 15/07/2025 22:39

White Company but I’d like them to sew the buttons on more securely.

Yes! All the buttons off our White Company duvet cover have come off.

EverythingIsComputer · 15/07/2025 22:45

@Youcallisimportanti’ve written to them to say the standard has slipped and ask for extra buttons which they did send out (sadly minus someone to sew them on!). Not bought a new set for a while so not sure if things have improved but imagine not.

DuckieDodgyHedgyPiggy · 15/07/2025 22:48

IKEA. I bought a white set and a grey & white narrow stripe set and they are beautiful cotton. Also very good value for money.

SirHectorDoolittle · 15/07/2025 22:52

Another vote for White Company here (agree with PPs about the buttons, although I don’t mind sewing them on securely before I wash them for the first time). I’ve accumulated quite a collection of white bed linen over the years and it’s still as beautiful after lots of use. Very good sale / regular customer discount too!

isitmytime · 15/07/2025 23:07

dunelm. Their Dorma Egyptian cotton bedding is Devine. It washes so well and always looks and feel luxurious

Mum5net · 15/07/2025 23:10

Soak and Sleep French linen gets my vote

I say that after buying Piglet in Bed and Secret Linen sets recently.
Linen or linen blend is fab.
