We need a sofa bed for living room, without spending through the roof. What are your thoughts on this? DH likes it, I am not sure we currently have a moorland DFS sofa falling apart so it's a very different style to what we currently have

It doesn’t look very cosy or comfortable.

PurpleChrayn · 12/06/2025 17:48

It looks like cubes of poo stacked together!

CoastalCalm · 12/06/2025 17:48

I’m not a fan of legs like that particular on wood floors as it will move

LoafofSellotape · 12/06/2025 17:49

It would be great in a waiting room but not very cosy for at home when you want to relax.

skippy67 · 12/06/2025 17:49

Don't like.

RobinHeartella · 12/06/2025 17:51

I like it. Also it'll be easy to hoover underneath

StrangerOnline · 12/06/2025 17:51

Looks stylish (in a show house) but not cosy or comfortable.

ok if it’s a 2nd seating option but I wouldn’t choose it as a main sofa

NotISaidTheCat · 12/06/2025 17:53

I absolutely love it, but obviously I'm in the minority!

Doncarlos · 12/06/2025 17:54

That’s a sofa that doesn’t want to be used a sofa. It’s going to be very uncomfortable to sit on for long, and probably not much fun to sleep on. (I used to have a similar item in spare room)

Midnightlove · 12/06/2025 17:54

I don't hate it.. but it looks very sofabed-y if you know what I mean

MeganM3 · 12/06/2025 17:59

It is nice enough but I think it’s more of an occasional use sofa, in a second living room or in a guest room, or a garden room. Rather than the family sofa in the lounge - which needs to be super comfy and very durable!

My thoughts exactly.

PomeloOud · 12/06/2025 18:02

um. It’s extremely ugly.

It might be ok in a hallway or somewhere like that.

MalcolmMoo · 12/06/2025 18:05

I really dislike it especially if it’s your main sofa. It’s not snuggly and warm looking.

babasaclover · 12/06/2025 18:05

I love it!!!!! Where is it from please?

Koazy · 12/06/2025 18:07

It looks like an uncomfy one in an office reception

I love it, it’s very stylish and looks cozy. Not sure why some posters are saying it doesn’t look comfy

Laurasanford789 · 12/06/2025 18:09

Some of these comments have me howling 😂 it is for a main sofa yea, other sofa beds we looked at are expensive and take up a lot of the living room, we was going to put huge cushions either end to soften it up a bit. Just like the Ease of it not having to pull a whole contraption out each time

looks aside, my inlaws got one which looked almost identical (but not sure if it was from Dunelm) for us to sleep on when we stayed. It was comfy for the first half an hour but we were both waking up in pain in the night and not able to sleep. I used to sleep on the floor rather than sleep on it. it was jus about bearable for one person as you could kind of scrunch yourself into the bit between the two arms but the pain on your shoulders or hips, depending on how you tried to position yourself, was horrible.

We politely coped for three years because they really are quite elderly and DH didn't want to stress them by saying it was uncomfortable. Then BIL had to spend a night on it and next day he went out and got a replacement.

So if you can in any way feel the metal frame through the seat when you really really try, don't do it!

daff0di1 · 12/06/2025 18:29

It's nice, but doesn't look comfy enough for me! X

MrsMoastyToasty · 12/06/2025 18:33

I like a soda where you can stand a mug of tea and a bar of chocolate on the arm. It falls that test.

mybrainpills · 12/06/2025 18:33

Cadburys take chocolate designs to far.

I dont like then again i dont own a sofa.
