Anyone with experience of Blinds2Go?

I am looking at their no-drill, blackout, thermal blinds - just simple, recess-fitted, white blinds are what I'm looking for for a rental property. Don't have to be the cheapest on the market, I'd like them to hold up well and provide proper light and thermal protection. But when you google/search Pinterest for such an item, a bewildering array comes back! Would welcome some experience! thanks so much.

I am a real fan of Blinds2go, good quality at affordable prices.
Haven't tried the no drill blinds but look good to me.

KimKardashiansLostEarring · 19/08/2024 16:43

Yep, used them a lot. We have those clip-in-frame blind things in the garden office.

FountainsOfPens · 19/08/2024 16:43

I am also a fan and we've slowly done the whole house with them.

I've always found them to be excellent for cost, quality and customer services when needed.

Highly recommend them.

I've bought many, many roller blinds and some roman blinds from them and have always been delighted. We had huge windows in our old house, and they were invaluable at keeping the heat in in winter. The roller blinds are all black out, and really effective. We needed some help from customer support a couple of years ago with the chain on one, and they were great too.

Reading this back it sounds like an advert, but honestly it isn't! 😂

BigSkies2022 · 19/08/2024 17:02

that's so kind of all you to get back to me! thanks for your help, and glad to hear you've had good experience. I will go ahead and measure up and be grateful for the short cut to a solution in a very crowded marketplace!

Great experience here too!

We ordered a couple of big blinds from them and were thrilled. Ordered 2 more, but sent the wrong measurements - oops!

I called them, explained what happened and if they could help, and they kindly offered 50% discount if I ordered again, was thrilled with that.

LightSpeeds · 19/08/2024 17:24

Great here too. Have used them several times.

Gingerkittykat · 19/08/2024 17:33

Amazing how many positive reviews of the company have been written in a few minutes!

I ordered from them, they didn't have the fabric I wanted so had to choose another and the service was really slow. The blinds are ok.

motherofawhirlwind · 19/08/2024 17:34

Perfect experience here too. Have got roller, Roman and slatted from them, all great and fab quality

libertybonds · 19/08/2024 17:38

I ordered honeycomb style blackout blinds from them and I was very happy with the products. All came as planned, no issues with customer service.

bitesthedust · 19/08/2024 17:46

Ahhh I was looking for blinds yesterday
I need a company that measures and fit it too
Looked at Adam’s blinds and Hillarys
They all offer free visit for quote with no pressure but I’m always worried that there are hidden costs and a lot of pressure

I know it is expensive but I would like to have a figure in my head before talking to a seller - there was one company that had a tool on their website where you entered the windown measurements and they would give you a rough estimate but I forgot the name :;

I need to do 4 windows

Anyone here had experiece buying the whole package? (measurement, sample brought to your home, fitting)

AnyFucker · 19/08/2024 17:48

Have bought the Night and Day blinds from them. They were great.

GenerousGardener · 19/08/2024 17:52

I'm about to order some perfect fit blinds. I did get a quote from a local company for £700. Blinds2Go quoted £200. No contest.

Teddleshon · 19/08/2024 18:07

Can't recommend them enough - brilliant in every respect.

housemaus · 19/08/2024 18:12

Gosh I'm surprised at the comments - we used them once, had horrific customer service (they sent us the wrong size blinds then said they wouldn't change them as it was 'down to our measurements', even though I'd screenshotted the original screen where we entered the correct measurements to their measuring guide to show my husband).

When they eventually offered us 15% off some new ones we went with it (as they're really cheap and we didn't have many other options at that point, given that we'd spent all the money on blinds that didn't fit) they sent us the wrong colour and point blank refused to swap them, saying they no longer stocked the colour we wanted.

Person I spoke to on the phone implied I was somehow running a made-to-measure blinds scam trying to get some new ones sent out, hahaha! Anyway there's a fair number of people on TrustPilot who had similar experiences, so I would be wary of them - although it's nice to see lots of people on here haven't had the same faff with them!

TheBossOfMe · 19/08/2024 18:16

Really surprised to hear some people have had negative experiences, I did my entire house bar one room via Blinds2Go and was blown away by how good the quality was of all the blinds (roman and roller). Great fabrics and great finish.

The ones I got for an arm and a leg from John Lewis were shocking in comparison.

mommybear1 · 19/08/2024 18:27

Yes I've recently purchased 2 of these blinds my word of caution is measure it very carefully - we found one blind quite a tight squeeze and the other a bit too short (in the recess). They fitted eventually with some tweaking but we did have the sure size insurance just in case!

basketlamp · 19/08/2024 19:03

All of our blinds are from blinds to go, they are excellent and great customer service especially when one of the blinds turned yellow - they replaced it quickly.

SuncreamAndIceCream · 19/08/2024 19:07

We've ordered numerous blinds from them in the past and had no issues at all.

Balletdreamer · 19/08/2024 19:14

We got blinds for bay windows from them. They look great and were a fraction of the cost quoted by Hilary’s. I was nervous about measuring myself as bays are a bit less straight forward but I think I paid a bit more so I could get free replacement if I’d measured wrong.

JoanThursday · 19/08/2024 19:20

We did quite a bit of work on our house and needed to cover a lot of windows!

We used Blinds2Go (and curtains2go) for rollers, Roman blinds, fine weave panels and standard curtains. Had a really great experience overall and don't regret any of our purchases. I would possibly go for more gather on the curtains and sheer panels (so perhaps slightly overstate the width), but otherwise very happy.

Starseeking · 19/08/2024 19:21

I've bought blinds from them before. They arrived quickly, and were exactly as described. They were also very reasonably priced.

Scissorsisters · 19/08/2024 19:42

I have one of their no-drill blinds in a high up and hard to access window. It did take two attempts to get it in straight but it's been absolutely fine. Very happy with it.

You can buy insurance if you're not confident with measuring.

jelly79 · 19/08/2024 19:45

Yes. Loved them

If you are crap with a measuring tape like me get the insurance, it was worth every penny

Sallycinnamum · 19/08/2024 20:01

What are they like for venetian blinds for bay windows?

We have 5 windows in ours and a local company have quoted £1500 for both windows but I'm very nervous fitting them ourselves as they're such huge windows. I don't think it would take much for them to look a bit shit!
