NW facing room, bright as has doors at one end outside and a window at the other.

Wimborne white too cream

James white too green

Timeless too grey

Nutmeg white is pink

Wevet too grey

I am so fed up. I don't want a stark white, a cosy white.

Can anyone suggest something else please?

Thank you

What about sail white

T0ASTER · 08/03/2024 15:23

Might be too grey, it is just a tiny hint

Lonelycrab · 08/03/2024 15:23

Strong white?

SpringOfContentment · 08/03/2024 15:24

Almond white?

WildFlowerBees · 08/03/2024 16:22

Thank you, looking at all of your suggestions. I wonder if we need a red based white like Pointing?

We have a similar set up room, patio doors at sw and window at ne. We have dulux white mist. Spent ages trying to find it as the wall was painted that colour when we moved in and no other 'white' looked right in comparison.

Pointing. Gorgeous soft white.

Mistyhill · 08/03/2024 16:30

dulux trade white is really very nice, not brilliant white but warm

FantasticElasticBand · 08/03/2024 16:31

F&B - Pointing

SailingStormyWaters · 08/03/2024 16:32

I have timeless white and it doesn't look at all grey. But it's a big sunny from with a huge bay window.

SailingStormyWaters · 08/03/2024 16:32

Room.

I have loft white all through my house (ceilings and skirting, plus walls in kitchen and batbroom) and I love it. Can highly recommend as it seems to look good from all aspects (front rooms are N facing, rear rooms are S facing). It's by Little Greene.

It never seems to look dirty (or grey or yellowed)

White cotton - Dulux

We have almond white in the kitchen/stairway - is not too cream white, and is softer than a bright white.
Have nutmeg white in the bedroom, but that is probably a little too brown for you. Had something nice in old house - think was called rice pudding. That was nice too- had a hint of warmth, but not too much extra colour in it.

Jasmine white might suit? I have it in a decently bright north facing bedroom and it’s light but not stark.

Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee could be worth a look. Studio McGee used it through a lot of their house so you can see it here in different rooms and lights studio-mcgee.com/mcgee-home-refresh-paint-guide/

IamGrannyNannyMagratandGreebo · 08/03/2024 20:54

Another vote for Jasmine white by Dulux

NotDonna · 09/03/2024 07:07

Another warm red based white is Joa’s white. Or if that’s too dark, Dimity is lovely.

Fozzleyplum · 09/03/2024 07:26

Pointing or White Tie.

WildFlowerBees · 09/03/2024 08:17

Love that @Lonelycrab 😆

Looking the wall this morning now they're completely dried, I don't actually dislike any of them! Wevet is coming out a sort of mauve white and timeless is more of a taupe now.

Will get testers of some of the suggestions here and really drive my dh mad.

I also have Loft White throughout my house. Really like it. It isn't stark but it is a clean white.
