Has anyone used?

We've just ordered this for our upstairs hallway (above the dado rail) after umming and ahhing for bloody ages!

It would be great to hear anyone's opinions/see a pic of it on a 'real' wall!

The hallway.

I have plans to paint below the dado, probably in Sulking Room pink. woodwork white with a quite jolly striped carpet.

I think it will work.. my taste is quite lively and I like a bit of a maximalist approach!

Wallpaper arrived today. We're doing it all ourselves so it will be slow progress!

Thanks all! Will definitely update as work progresses. OH is mist coating the walls tomorrow. The carpet is going to need saving up for as it's not cheap!

Like I said my taste can be a bit bold.. not everyones cup of tea!

No two rooms are the same! 😂

@Furries luckily we do have a lot of rooms, and OH lets me have cart blanche on decor thankfully!

The house was untouched for about 50 years when we bought it, so it is a labour of love but the frustrated interior designer in me is loving the blank canvas!

Your house looks beautiful and I love the wallpaper - very similar to a Monsoon paper we have in our house. I would get one of the pinks in the wallpaper colour matched for below the dado rail. Any slight mismatches of colour between the paper, paint and carpet can be amplified in a big space. They may match perfectly irl. You can always use the Crucial Trading carpet on the stairs and a plain colour on the landing.

Was there a fireplace on the landing at one time or another door where the gap in the skirting is?

The paint beneath the dado would be better matched to the green background in my opinion, perhaps a couple of tones darker. Darker colours at the bottom generally looks more natural , especially in a confined space. You could get a couple of sample tins and do a test run.

I love the paper, there is a very similar Chinoiserie one in a NT house which I would love to copy.
