Blue living room - what blue?!

DH and I have agreed on the colour blue for our living room. It's quite small and used as a grown up 'snug' so we're happy to go dark-ish. Last house was painted in Oval Room Blue but we want to go darker because of the space.

Can't decide. Have done seven tester pots and don't like any.

If you have a blue living room, what colour/name/shade is it???

Dulux heritage Oxford blue. Love!

We’ve just bought Aegean from Homebase but only painted the edges so far .. looks ok so far

F&B Hague blue. We did one wall to start with then thought fuck it and did all four and I love it.

I have a dining room in Stiffkey blue. It's lovely, but I must say we did it in this colour about 6 or 7 years ago and it's probably due a change. I think navy/dark blue has had it's moment, and you might find it dates quickly. Personally I'd go for a strong green in preference to a strong blue right now, and I'm no where near at the cutting edge of home decorating trends.

I have Little Greene’s Hicks Blue in the lounge part of my kitchen. Not quite as dark as F&B’s Stiffkey or Hague.

@crumpet unfortunately it’s 14+ years old and the company has now gone out of business. It’s the ‘Tom Foolery’ from Sofa Workshop covered in Osborne & Little fabric.

we used F&B Stiffkey blue. Lovely shade doesn’t feel too dark

We have Johnstones 'cavalry' its quite dark but quite 'tealy' in some lights and navy in others. We have it on 3 walls.
Rest of the room is silvers/light grey/white.

F&B stiffkey blue. North facing living room and absolutely gorgeous colour.

Love this colour....fun fact...it was dulux colour of the year in 2017!..... my mum has it in her lounge....still looks lovely

We have f&b hague blue in the study (think it was johnstones paint colour match though - I don't like f&b paint as I find it so unforgiving if it gets marked/scuffed). We do love it - paint skirtings the same colour too. F&b also advise on what white to go on ceiling - as you want to make sure that matches too and isn't too stark.

Sorry meant to say… I found a lot of the colours including the f&b ones mentioned had a really grey undertone (maybe as it’s a north facing room…) but this one has a purply undertone if anything!

i think lighter blues are a bit more current. tbf everyone is doing green. plaster colour or beige is probably super current.
