What colour with purple for spare bedroom/office?

I have purple bedding in the spare bedroom, we havnt decorated it since moving in yet. It's also used as my office (wfh permenantly) so I want the walls a fairly light/bright colour. Don't really want purple walls and I think grey would depress me being in there all day. We like bright colours and I like the idea of a deep teal but don't think it goes with purple really, any other colours that would? Or just suck it up and buy new bedding?

I think white goes well with purple. I think purple on walls can look a bit weird like it's got a weird glow to it, unless it's a nice deep plum.

Or peacock-type colours: teal, blue, emerald etc?

I have one wall with purple wallpaper, the rest white.

I would say green. But I love purple so this is good for ideas! I like the one purple wall and bed.

Green and actually suggestion saying orange is interesting. Depends on the tone of purple as well.

White walls and orange as an accent colour in your soft furnishings - cushions for the bed etc

Yellow and orange and great with purple.

Personally I’d change the bedding and paint the walls any colour you wish.

@FurBabyMum02 I think a greenish teal or an emerald/peacock green would work.
I'd go with deep jewel colours and a 'Moroccan' vibe

What sort of question do you think people should be asking in the Home Decoration topic?

OP do you have a picture of the covers so we can see the shade of purple?

Pics would be good, perhaps change the bedding if its not to your taste.
I do agree a muted green could look good and is always a great choice for study/office. Will dig out pics.

Why would you want to work around something as easily replaceable as the bedding?

Paint the walls deep teal if you love it, then buy some new bedding.

Pale fruity lilac walls and purple everything else (chosen around a purple futon I inherited) plus bright yellow files and accessories was my office at last house! Everyone loved it.

I personally love sage green with deep purple.

A beautiful duck egg green or a very pale buttercup yellow.

I can't add a pic it won't post for some reason but it's a deep purple like @newyearnewminty has posted. I do like the sage/muted green or similar idea I hadn't thought of that.
@spacepotato it's only that I already have the bedding tbh, there's nothing wrong with it, I like it and it seemed a waste to buy new

I have had purple with green before and like the combo. My bedroom is purple with cream which I love.
