Worked our arses off. Room was a wreck when we start ( as is our whole 'project' house).

Doing 95% of the reno works ourselves, luckily OH is very handy and I love interior design!

DD (8 next week) loves it!

Have to crack on with DS's wreck of a room now..!

I keep seeing pictures of those rugs but can't actually find them anywhere. It's gorgeous, as is the rest of the room. I love rainbows

It's nice, but there are some tweaks I would make to elevate it.
Your curtains should be floor length, I understand that makes things difficult with the rad placement, but short curtains look cheap. Also I'm struggling a little with the mix of pastel wall paint, bedding,
and wardrobe but bright decal, rug and the one piece of yellow furniture, tonal compatibility is important for flow in my eyes. If these things agreed with each other it would be really fantastic.

@Android18 I disagree about the curtain length, and in fact plan to take them up a bit more to let more heat in, in the winter.

I'm not a fan of floor length curtains, unless in a more 'grown up' room.

The yellow bookcase was painted that colour several years ago and matches the yellow mirror colour above the fireplace.

Too matchy matchy isn't my thing to be honest and prefer to put things I love together.

The rainbow is pastel colours which I think pulls it all together.

That's lovely. My dd who is 15 did her room last year, it went from lovely like that, to white, just white, white everything. She loves it and it has a certain 'class' to it but not as lovely as the colours.

Some people may find colours to be too tiring for their brain.

That is really lovely, I love how you've made it colourful yet restful and a little quirky.
