Which material do you think looks best against this paint colour?

I'd say the first one but both are really nice

DeRigueurMortis · 07/02/2021 18:44

First one.

Incyra · 07/02/2021 18:51

The paint looks green one day and blue the next. Just a sample on the wall at the moment!

The paint actually looks completely different in each photo! I'd say the second looks better but they're both a good match.

soundofsilence1 · 07/02/2021 18:53

2nd one. The material picks out the blue of the paint better. The blue in the first one is more of a clash.

Yes, its weird. I haven't fully decided on the colour yet. If not I was going to go for a peachy pink which I think would also fit with both materials.

The first one. The second is quote dated looking to me.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 07/02/2021 19:02

2nd one but quite old fashioned.
First one is the wrong tones/shades.

Saz12 · 07/02/2021 19:28

I like the first one with it more. For me, the pale background of no. 2 is too different to the dark colour of the paint.

But if the dark paint is intended as a feature wall with other walls a pale colour that’s a different scenario again!

Yes, the paint just on the one wall where the blinds will go.

The second one (the william morrisy style one) - the green/grey in it matches the paint whereas there is no colour in the first which matches, and the green is a different green. I don’t think the first one goes at all.

Plump82 · 07/02/2021 20:12

The paint looks different in each picture but the material matches both shades. I love the 1st one. The 2nd seems a bit old fashioned.

Empressofthemundane · 07/02/2021 20:15

I prefer the second one. There is more contrast, so getting a perfect match is less of an issue.

Is this for drapes or upholstery?

Roman blinds.

I would go for the second.
The ground colour in the first looks like it almost matches the paint, but not quite.

littlem133 · 07/02/2021 22:31

Second

Fullofthejoysofspring · 07/02/2021 22:44

Which room will this be in?

Saz12 · 07/02/2021 23:08

If it’s blinds in a room with some walls pale, I’d go for fabric 2. It’s a better bridge between dark wall and pale wall.

Hopeishere52 · 07/02/2021 23:10

2nd

kerkyra · 07/02/2021 23:45

2nd looks lovely together.

The first. 2nd fabric is dated.

CottonSock · 08/02/2021 08:58

Prefer 2nd, but both match..

Palavah · 08/02/2021 08:58

2nd.

Tha 1st one doesn't match and it's a bit tricky to see the pattern but it reminds me of the 1990s.

(2nd is a traditional but classic pattern)

Incyra · 08/02/2021 09:00

@CrystalMaisie

The first. 2nd fabric is dated.
I was hoping it has a timeless style.
