what do you think about this rug?

I got this rug delivered today, could you give me your honest opinions please? I like its colour and texture, but not sure about the size. is it too long?

I think it's rather too narrow...but it would look much better if you pushed it right up the the hearth.

It's floating in mid air right now but it's not large enough to do that.

It doesn't go with anything else.

JaneJEffer what do you mean "go with"? It's neutral...I think it tones in with the curtains and sofa just fine.

It looks grey in your photo.

Maybe push it closer to the fireplace? I like it 😊

it is actually teal, sofa is grey.

I'm struggling to see the teal? the sofa looks brown too.

It doesn't look big enough for the space though. Based on my eyes for the above it doesn't go either.

The rug vuke us nice but it didn't really lift the room.

i think the layout of the room makes placing the rug correctly quite difficult. people say you should place two feet of the furniture on the rug, but we have to place the sofa on the shorter side because windows are on the longer side of the rectangle, if you know what i mean...

Push it up to the hearth. It doesn't work as you have it currently. See what that looks like.

You don't have to place the sofa where it is. Plenty of people have a sofa backing up to a window. There's no issue with that. One of my sitting rooms is small and our sofa goes there.
