It's that perfect mix of green grey that I just cannot find.

Please help me identify this paint

Wish I knew and could help you, OP. I’d take pic on my phone and go to the paint mixing counter in B&Q- or wherever- and try and match it to one of the colours on the sample strips... lovely colour, I hope you can find it.

Bluesheep8 · 18/02/2019 19:35

It looks like dulux chic shadow to me

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 19:41

Please help me identify this paint

Aegean Ruins by Valspar paints

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 19:46

In day light it looks very much like in your pic

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 19:46

Chic shadow has no green in it

Georgiesgirl · 18/02/2019 19:56

F & B French Grey?

RuggyPeg · 18/02/2019 19:59

AnyFucker - that's pretty close but looks a tiny bit darker and slightly more sludgy.

RuggyPeg · 18/02/2019 20:00

French grey is a bit too light and a bit too green.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:12

Peg...it is closer in day light. I have a yellow tinged table lamp on this evening.

I looked for ages for a green/grey too

MustStopSnacking28 · 18/02/2019 20:14

Where is the picture from OP?

dontcallmelen · 18/02/2019 20:14

OP, that’s exactly the colour I’m after, the nearest so far I have got is F&B mizzle.
AF how did you find the valspar paint, as I have seen very mixed reviews.

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:20

My husband did the painting and he really rates it. A lovely matt finish too. Also, it's not marketed as washable but dirty marks disappear with a bit of fairy liquid without fading the paint

(not everybody in this house is careful not to swing their bags along the wall as they come through the door....grr)

Bluntness100 · 18/02/2019 20:21

Take the pic and get it colour matched, Dulux do a great low sheen matt which is washable, (that's really important as you can then wipe marks off without disturbing thr paint) and gives the creamy F&b look.

Lunaballoon · 18/02/2019 20:22

I would say F&B French grey too. We have it in our living room and like all F&B paints it subtly changes colour depending on the light. I love it!

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:23

We used that and a lighter but similar colour to highlighlight different areas in what is a large room with mixed seating areas

I would show you a pic of the stripe effects my husband did to bring them together but if anybody knows me they would recognise it Smile

dontcallmelen · 18/02/2019 20:29

AF many thanks will take a look at Valspar, it’s been such a pain as I don’t want grey but don’t want a green either, just a nice greeny/grey.
Stripes sound lovely & a great way of zoning a room (get me with my interior design speak)

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:30

Yah Grin

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:33

I bet you find something here

ViserionTheDragon · 18/02/2019 20:38

It looks a lot like Worsted by Farrow and Ball.....

Jon65 · 18/02/2019 20:40

Its Farrow and ball and either dimpse or dovetail, I have both in my hallway and i can't recall which is which. They look totally different online, brown rather than grey, but they are very much grey, so you really need to order a colour chart or have a look on the front of the tin.

dontcallmelen · 18/02/2019 20:42

Af many thanks, the names are nearly as wanky as F&B😂 I have elephants breath in the hallway & blue/mushroom in the kitchen so want something that will flow & the carpet/sofa are a greige colour with green/cream cushions & throws, I have spent a kings ransom on tester pots.

AnyFucker · 18/02/2019 20:43

I could have painted my whole house in tester pots Smile

RuggyPeg · 18/02/2019 20:47

I definitely don't want to stray into brown territory.
