I love it but am a bit worried it may be more of a kid's room rug.

Only other rug I can find that I vaguely like is this.

If you like it, go for it. Your home!

HennaFlare · 03/06/2015 18:29

I love the foxy rug. Also like the striped one, but I would say go for your first choice.

Gatekeeper · 03/06/2015 18:29

Nope..I would have it in the living room. Knickers to anyone disputing this

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 18:29

Id only be having it in a small size to go infront of the fire. Not a massive rug taking up the centre of the room.

Stripy one also good in a completely different way. If you have room ....
have both!

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 18:30

Knickers to my Dh then. Grin

Thanks.

Might get the stripey one in a runner size for the hall.

That's the spirit! Embrace your daft, quirky bits

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 18:53

I can just imagine visitors been a bit Hmm and wondering why on earth ive put a kid's rug in my sitting room. Grin

This is so bizarre.

I initially considered the Mr Fox rug for my living room but decided it was a bit childish (although I do really like it), and instead bought..........the exact same striped rug that you show above!!

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 20:32

That is very spooky Selks.

Do you like the stripe rug? Do you regret not getting the fox one?

OP posts:
VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 20:33

The stripe one is the more sensible long term option.

I worry I might go off the fox one after a while and it's not cheap.

Selks · 03/06/2015 20:33

If you do like the fox rug then get it...I don't think it looks stupidly childish, more playful and fun.

I got several Mr Fox mugs instead Smile

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 20:34

I might get some cushions to match the rug.

DH abd o have had a similar conversation. We are going for the strippy rug :) (does it also come in a different colour scheme as I think we are still idly considering the same one but different colours??) must be a popular choice! My fear over the foxes was less teenage room and more the fact that fixed here are seen as vermin.

MadamG · 03/06/2015 20:37

Please excuse my typos, on a phone and have both fat fingers and dyslexia.

Selks · 03/06/2015 20:40

I do like the stripe one, it looks fab on the oak floor, and I've had loads of compliments on it.

CloserToFiftyThanTwenty · 03/06/2015 20:41

Stripy rug and fox cushions?

Selks · 03/06/2015 20:45

You can just see my stripy rug at the bottom of the pic, in front of my fireplace...might be slightly different colours than the one you are looking at Viva.

VivaLeBeaver · 03/06/2015 20:51

That looks nice Selks. We have very similar log burners. Grin

Your rug is a different colour, where did you buy yours from? Think I like that colour better and ive not seen it for sale anywhere.

Sells, that's so pretty :)

I love the fox rug, I'd would put it in my lounge. Go for it!

I got it on ebay, it was from a rug retailer but I don't have a record of which one now (bought it a couple of years ago). It's wool and really nice quality, was pleasantly surprised.

Although I do keep getting tempted by the idea of a beautiful Persian kilim instead now....

Devora · 04/06/2015 14:00

I love the fox rug. It's very 'now', though, and I've seen it in a few of my interiors mags, so yes there is a risk you might go off it.

But don't worry it's for children - I don't think it is.
