PLEASE help me find a holiday. It has to be near to the beach and somewhere hot. Preferably with water slides.

Cyb · 11/01/2010 20:07

we are going to a fab villa in North Portugal. When do you want to go? It is 250 m from beach with own -pool and water slide park 5 mins away

And I can't even swim

notyummy · 11/01/2010 20:08

Budget?

cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 20:28

Cyb that sounds fab
We had booked to go to Menorca but there was an error with our booking so we have had to cancel and no rooms are left at the inn.
Budget approx £2500ish

We've been to two First Choice holiday villages in Turkey and Costa del Sol with good water facilities. Costa del Sol one not so near to decent beach, but bus trip away. Think Turkey one had food problems last year though, but we had a brilliant time there.

Or do you want somewhere near a water park? Ayia Napa and Limassol in Cyprus both have water parks.

CaptainNancy · 11/01/2010 20:34

How many DC? Ages? What style/class hotel do you want?
We actually went to Menorca 2 years ago with DD (she was2.5) and the hotel and pool were lovely.

cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 20:36

have a look here

the water park is on-site and the hotel is right on the beach

the resort is lovely, extremely picturesque, quiet and family-friendly (no lager louts, promise)

your budget should cover all inclusive for a week or two in early season

cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 20:57

Thanks AF that looks perfick - but Ibiza! Will I be running into Jason Orange and all those posey folk all the time?

OP posts:
CaptainNancy · 11/01/2010 20:57

Sorry- Hotel Playa Princesa in Cala N Bosch

Cyb · 11/01/2010 20:57

OP posts:
cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 21:03

captain nancy is it near the beach?

OP posts:
cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 21:07

and who did you book with?

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 11/01/2010 21:42

don't be silly corn
not all Ibiza is San Antonio

90% of it is extraordinarily beautiful, quiet, unspoilt and it has the reputation of the best sunsets in the world (can vouch for all of that)

we have been for the last 2 years and love it

it is like Majorca, but quieter, less developed and smaller (unless you go to the bang-bang resorts )

you said you wanted sun, slides, on the beach, your budget will stretch to a decent 3 star hotel like that one

btw, I don't have shares in it

MrsMattie · 11/01/2010 21:44

We went to Portugal last summer. Lagos. But most of the Algrave is hot, reasonably priced and there are a couple of great waterparks down there.

cornsilkscatholichamster · 11/01/2010 21:44

who did you book with AF?
