Just being nosy really.

I haven't even started to think about ours yet and probably will wait and see what sort of summer we are in for and do it all last minute.

BUT can you tell me if you have booked yours yet?
Are you going abroad?
Rough sort of budget for your main summer hols with the DCs?

So you just need warm water and a huge sandy beach! Let him charge about with abandon. I can guarantee they sleep like angels.

I agree Porto but we would have to get there first.

poshtottie, we did Barbados when daughter was 19 months, was ok, as got her own seat and played games and watched dvd (which airline provided.

Ruthie - that doesn;'t include the flights but I got a cheap deal with british Midland. If you are paying hard cash (ie not tesco vouchers) you do get the holiday cheaper as they offer loads of discounts. We ate ia lot - BBQ at the mobile and also ahd pizza takeaways and ate in the campsite restuarant a few times. The town in 5 mins walk away so we ate out there too (they had a fab pirate restaurant that the kids loved!

Thanks Leslaki, its a very good option for next summer. Staying in UK this year, hope for some good weather.

we are off to tenerife for a week in Aug, and then a short break at CP just before school goes back.

We wanted to do a cruise but couldn't find anything we liked for the dates, so tbh, I'm not thrilled with Tenerife. Think I would have preferred a Keycamp type thing in Holland, but dh was so frustrated with my umming and ahhhing that he just booked it.

I am dreading what the exchange rate will be like, and seriously considering changing our holiday money now.

6 nights in Duinrell, Holland at Easter in a caravan (will probably freeze), £195 plus petrol.

Week on a farm in Germany in August with loads of stuff for the DCs, £387 plus petrol and we will camp in the summer for a bit.

Can highly recommend Brittany - loads to do for the kids (and the adults!), relaxing ferry trip to get there esp if you do the overnight ferry. And cheap too!

Mallorca for 1 week in August. Was £1500 for 5 of us, but is AI so dont have to worry bout anything else now.... just wait to lie in sun, put dc's in kids club & soak up all the free (or already paid for!) wine that i can!!

10 days in Florida in June. Turned out to be the cheapest option from Malta, France and the Isle of Wight Paid just over £500 total for flights for 3 of us. Will be holidaying with PIL

Week in Dorset in July for scout camp too

unknownrebelbang · 16/02/2009 22:56

Cruise around the Canaries at Easter.

Week in a caravan in mid-Wales in October.

A couple of days, somewhere, in August.

unknownrebelbang · 16/02/2009 22:57

We've been to Duinrell at Easter (two years ago). It was fab and the weather was glorious for Easter.

We were also in Holland last Easter (different place) and it was snowing.
