Florida villa required - recommendations please!

Hi,

We are going to Florida in April and our villa has just fallen through due to the economy problems. It was a friends villa so we knew it was going to be nice and now we have to look for something else as our flights are already booked.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice that they have stayed? We need ideally 5 bedrooms as there are 9 of us (4 adults and 5 children) although we could probably manage with 4 nedrooms and a sofa bed. We would also want the cilla to have a private pool.

We don't mind being up to 20-30min drive from Disney but the closer the better.

We'd be looking to pay between £350 - £450 per week.

Thank you xxx

Can't find the card but will pop over and ask them later.

thank you so much - we had such a nice place booked but they have had to sell due to the amount of cancellations they have had. We're really dissapointed!

Try owners direct website. We have booked our villa though them the past 4 years and never been disappointed. Can see where and what you are getting.

meadow6 · 25/11/2008 12:48

Look up ownersdirect.co.uk. There is another website ownerdirect.com, but this is the one I use.

sweetheart · 25/11/2008 13:15

Thanks meadow - we have been looking at owners direct and are making enquirys on a few but I was also hoping to get a recommendation if possible.

Neighbours haven't been around but will try again tomorrow. I haven't forgotten you.

Hi sweetheart, without wishing to boast, I can recommend my villa in Orlando.
It has 4 bedrooms, 1 king size with ensuite bath and shower, a twin room next to it with mickey and minnie theme and a double and other twin with shared bathroom. It has a large lounge/dining area and a kitchen breakfast room. Also a games room and private swimming pool. It is 4 miles from Disney, so nice and close. Also within 2 mins walk from the house is a childens play area and community swimming pool.
If you want to look at pictures of it here is the linkwww.loyaltyusa.com/kissimmee-vacation-rental-homes.aspx?homeId=97

mumoverseas · 26/11/2008 16:29

p.s. there is also a sofa bed in the lounge!

ykirby · 26/11/2008 17:00

If you need a place to stay in Florida, go to www.loyaltyusa.com. This is a company so if an owner sells a home, they have other homes to relocate you to. It can be risky at the current time booking directly with an owner. ALl of these homes are beautiful . www.loyaltyusa.com

ykirby · 26/11/2008 17:02

I can highly recommend the home that mumoverseas has, i know it personally and it is beautiful

Grabshelldude · 26/11/2008 17:17

www.orlandovilla4rent.com we've stayed here a couple of times and found it very good. Very private at the rear as well as it backs onto a nature conservation site. A lot of the villas over there can feel very crowded in.

mumoverseas · 26/11/2008 17:19

hello Y, how are you? small world!(almost a hijack there!)
of course my villa is beautiful because it is very well maintained by the management company! (also has a nice new potato peeler and masher in case guests don't want to buy ready prepared from publix like everyone else!)

LilRedWG · 28/11/2008 11:59

Crazy neighbours are hiding from me (either that or on holiday). Will keep at it.

LilRedWG · 30/11/2008 16:37

Sweetheart - I finally got hold of my neighbours. This is their villa. As I say, I haven't been but when DD is older we definitely will.

Hope it's of some help.

Annthecat · 30/11/2008 16:40

Try The Dibb online, info on all things Dusney and Orlando and loads of villa owners advertusing on there and forums for advice.

lovemyjob · 20/12/2008 16:56

We stayed here 2 years ago. I would highly recommend. It was so spacious and immaculately kept. Would stay in this villa again. Not sure on prices though as she does not list the price on the website anymore.

Go on holiday-rentals.com and type in florida wishes or property no. 65569. It is a five bedroomed villa in Davenport.

claret1980 · 01/01/2009 20:11

Try www.thedibb.co.uk there are loads of villa owners on there and they are really nice.

webwoman05 · 08/01/2009 21:36

Sorry to hijack this thread somewhat but I was interested to see that mumoverseas has her lovely holiday villa listed on loyaltyusa.com but I was wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions about booking your villa or anyone else's on that site. How do you pay them? Do you pay in dollars or pounds? Can you pay with an english credit card and if so is there a charge for it? Thanks in advance! Trying to sort out a nice break in the sun! Hope sweetheart sorted out a new villa!

mumoverseas · 09/01/2009 05:34

hi webwoman. If you book direct via loyalty I'm pretty sure that you can pay with your english credit card but there may be a small charge (when I pay them for their management services by CC I get charged around 1.5%) Their prices are in dollars and they would just convert it into whatever it is in sterling on the day of the transaction. If you book any of the other villas they manage you will have to do it through them but if you are actually interested in my villa I could probably offer you a reduced rate to book direct via me and you could then pay by cheque or transfer into my bank account if you wanted to avoid CC charges.
When are you thinking of going webwoman?

webwoman05 · 09/01/2009 16:07

Hi mumoverseas. Thanks for responding, but you are booked on the dates we are looking at (12/04 - 26/04). Can you recommend any other villas in that area?

mumoverseas · 10/01/2009 12:51

hi webwoman. Thats a shame. All the homes managed by Loyalty are in the same area, all within around 4 miles of Disney. If you contact Loyalty and tell them that I've recommended you (ursula) as my house is booked they should be able to look after you and find you a nice house nearby. The houses should all be a pretty good standard, they all have private pools and quite a few have games rooms. The lady that owns the management company is called Yvonne and she owns a couple of rental properties, one of which is Cinderellas castle which is very nice (if you have girls) Hope you have a fabulous time. I'm very jealous as wanted to get out there this year but won't be able to as DC4 arriving next month and we can't face the long flight from the Middle East to Orlando with a little one
