Looking for inspiration for this summer.
Where are you going during the school holidays this year with your family?

Germany, England, Canada, Hungary and Italy. But they’re mostly work-related trips. We’ve already had our big holiday this year in South Africa. It was only 7 days but amazing!

Stompythedinosaur · 09/07/2026 19:38

Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa - am beyond excited!

Beachbeach · 09/07/2026 19:39

Cornwall, camber sands and little Hampton

Otter2016 · 09/07/2026 19:41

We’re going to centre parcs, but also considering a break abroad

London for 4 days at the very beginning, to watch diamond league athletics, the Wallace and Gromit exhibition at the young V&A and some other fun things. A long weekend in the Lake District in the middle to bag some more Wainwrights and the last 2 weeks of the hols we are going to Namibia. Our kids are not back at school until second week of September, not a private school it means they finish quite late next July, so it's a lot of time to fill.

4 days Florence and 8 days Lake Garda

Simonjt · 09/07/2026 21:46

We had our main holiday, we went to Canada (east coast), it was really lovely, we just need to get back on normal time now.

Turkey 🥵🥵🥵

Week at home (this week in this amazing weather!) Long weekend on South Coast, few days in London, long weekend at a music festival.
We save our abroad holidays for Feb/October half term when UK weather is guaranteed to be rubbish 😂

Devon for a week in a caravan, and Menorca AI for a week.

Actaully looking forward to Devon more as I really don’t know if I can’t be arsed any more with flying and all the malarkey that comes with going abroad. Probably tainted by last time we went abroad we got delayed on the way out for 9 hours 😱

Cornishmumofone · 09/07/2026 22:00

Cornwall

Spanglybangles · 09/07/2026 23:34

Western Canada for 2.5 weeks. Can’t wait!

Divebar2021 · 09/07/2026 23:38

Lisbon and then out to the coast in Portugal by train. Staying in a couple of coastal towns. However next year we’re doing a safari in South Africa followed by 10 days in Zanzibar

Florabella · 10/07/2026 06:16

Montenegro- can’t wait!

Appleblum · 10/07/2026 06:20

Malaysia, Australia, then Japan. Wish me luck packing!

TheChosenTwo · 10/07/2026 06:23

We’ve got a week in Cornwall booked and then I’ve booked 2 weeks of leave during August so we’ll see what we can book for then! We both hate planning/researching holidays so usually tend to leave it last minute to book as neither of us want to even start looking 😂

LoudSnoringDog · 10/07/2026 06:26

Kuala Lumpur and Bali

Santasbigredbobblehat · 10/07/2026 06:31

Croatia AI and a week at Bluestone in Wales.

mellongoose · 10/07/2026 06:55

SE France, for a week or so, if we ever get anything booked!

NotDarkGothicMama · 10/07/2026 07:36

A week self-catering and outdoor sports at Lake Bled, then a long weekend in the Trossachs. Sooo looking forward to it!

A long weekend in the Trossachs remains one of my top 3 trips I’ve ever been on!
