If you could go on holiday anywhere in England for a two week all inclusive solo holiday, staying in a hotel, where would it be? I am looking for inspiration, thank you very much. 💛

There's a fancy hotel in North Berwick outside Edinburgh on the coast that looks amazing.

sadly it's not in England!! 😂

Well if it needs to be England you could go to Berwick instead… be careful though, the border is close by and you might dabble into Scotland!

Joking aside Northumberland is absolutely stunning.

It really depends what kind of activities you want, if any?

I don't think I could go all inclusive in a UK hotel, the food often isn't great and I'd want to be out exploring and see what else was on offer.....if I go away on my own I like to self cater and then I have space to properly chill out.
What sort of thing would you enjoy......cities and museums, galleries, a spa break, countryside and rural hikes.....?? With 2 weeks you could probably do a bit of all of these!

Not sure many places in the UK do adult focused real all inclusive. There’s Potters Resorts! Be interested to hear of others.

Maybe Tresco on Isles of Scilly or another island on Isles of Scilly. Not sure if can get AI though but can get hotels.

I wouldn't ever choose an all inclusive two week holiday in England. But if I had to, definitely the Lake District. Gorgeous walks and sightseeing, luxury hotel and food in the evening. Maybe Cornwall too for similar reasons - gorgeous coastal walks or sea kayaking and paddle boarding then back for soothing baths and saunas and wine.

My current dream UK holiday is Whitby. I have never been and I long to go. Especially when all the steampunk or vampire crowds are around. It must be so atmospheric.

I've always fancied exploring the east coast, so Norfolk and Suffolk. Coming from Bristol means that most of my UK holidays have gravitated towards Devon, Cornwall, Dorset or Wales. I'd like to see the other side of the country.

The Headland in Penzance.

Northumberland, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire are my favourites

Fifthtimelucky · 11/06/2026 18:32

I’ve always fancied staying at the hotel on Burgh Island. I wouldn’t want to do it for a fortnight though.

I agree with a PP that the Isles of Scilly would be good, so perhaps I’d go there and stop off at Burgh Island for 2 or 3 nights on the way down.

EBearhug · 11/06/2026 18:34

I'm currently planning a holiday round Sussex and Kent, because there are places I want to go, like the Kent Mining Museum, which I recognise is probably a niche interest. So I decide what things I want to see, then I work out hotels around it. I'm not bothered about all inclusive, though, nor staying in the same place for a whole two weeks.

England? Or UK (or Great Britain)?

Are the Scilly Isles in England?
