Me and the male are wanting 4 nights away end of June. No idea where to go. He just says pick anywhere we just need a break. Which is true . So 4 nights with somewhere nice to go on a couple of the nights and hotel for the other 2. Europe please. We wanted Malta but we are on a very tight timescale 6 days leave to go for 4 nights and can't work it with flights etc

Northern Spain - Santiago, Santander, Bilbao, A Coruna. Gorgeous scenery, short flights, not too hot 😊

Where are you flying from and what dates? When you say somewhere nice to go for 2 nights then 2 nights in hotel what do you mean - opera, events, entertainment?

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 30/05/2026 18:53

Palma is lovely. Short flights and plenty of them, great weather, stuff to do when you get there. Or options for just lying around in the sun.

ReignOfError · 30/05/2026 18:57

Sardinia.

Naples with day trips to Pompei, Capri, Sorrento.

Valencia for city and beach.

Nice or Marseille also lots of culture and city life but good beaches nearby.

Biarittz/San Sebastian/Bilboa/Santander

You can fly into Biarittz and out of Santander

GinTonic123 · 30/05/2026 19:09

Copenhagen

Copenhagen. Short flight, more holiday time.

Delatron · 30/05/2026 19:48

I would do Copenhagen. With Southern Europe there’s a risk of serious heat so unless you just want to flop by a pool then Scandinavia might be nicer.

Otherwise I’d choose one of the islands in the med where it might not be so hot. So Palma always a good choice.

Or somewhere like Nice as France is close and can be not quite so hot.

So don't want to stay in the hotel the whole time as it's only 4 nights so nice restaurants or bars.

Nice 100%.
I just went myself for 3 nights and still managed a day/evening in Monaco as well as a day in Cannes.

We have just returned from Budapest and loved it. Absolutely beautiful city with lots to do, we didn’t see everything so do plan on returning.

feellikeanalien · 30/05/2026 20:57

Seville. Loads of good restaurants and plenty to see.

Sapphireandsteel2 · 30/05/2026 20:59

Nice or Malaga

Overtheatlantic · 30/05/2026 21:08

Vienna or Amsterdam. I love Amsterdam because you can take the Eurostar.

Posywosey · 30/05/2026 21:11

For those mentioning Copenhagen: it's worth checking the dates for Roskilde (usually the last week of June/first weekend of July) as it came be chaotic around that time. Reasonably priced hotels at either end of the festival are often booked solid.

It's a glorious time to go, though.

MittensTheKittens · 30/05/2026 21:12

Work backwards.
Where do you want to fly from and which dates?
Use sky scanner/Google flights to see where you can fly direct to with reasonable flights times.
Then find hotels etc.

Don't fall in love with a location and then realise your local airport doesn't fly there on the days you need.

corblimeyguvnr · 30/05/2026 21:12

Krakow.

Seville. Loads of good restaurants and plenty to see.

It’s currently 40 degrees in Seville.
Its a beautiful city but I’d go April not end of June.

Barcelona

Havanananana · 31/05/2026 12:09

Salzburg, Copenhagen, Vienna, Munich, Lübeck, Lund in Sweden, Pula, Friedrichshafen or Lindau on Lake Constance, Krakow ...

MissAmbrosia · 31/05/2026 12:17

Budapest, Nice, Valencia, fly to Milan and go to one of the lakes. I am just back from Seville and whilst i love the city - it was like a furnace. Spent much time in our plunge pool.

JustAquaMentor · 31/05/2026 12:40

San Sebastian definitely
