We're going to The Vendee, but because it's a long journey we've decided to break it up and stay a couple of nights on the way down, poss Brittany etc.

So it needs to be just one nighters. There are 5 of us though!!

Hiya

We drive down to the South of France frequently and now know where we like to stay but to start with, we used www.viamichelin.com www.viamichelin.com to get a good route map and then worked out roughly where we would want to stop. You can then create a route plan with a stopover and it will display hotels within a certain distance of your desired stopover place.

There are the usual hotel chains (ibis, novotel, etap, campanile etc) who all seem to have hotels wherever you decide to stop!

Doubt this is much help but I tried!

PS - you are highly unlikely to find a 5 bedded room. If I remember rightly, French Health and Safety allow a maximum of 4 people in a room so you will need to find a hotel where they have inter-connecting rooms.

drive alive .co.uk
book accommodation and you get a discounted crossing.

is that an ongoing thing jingley? If it is, we'll bear in mind for the future, unfortunately we've already booked and paid for our crossing for this yrs trip. Thanks though!!

yes we have been using them for about 6 years and it has been the same,
It isn't cheaper than the "travel in the middle of the night" prices but good at other times.
