Have I paid too much?

In a nutshell I fly to lanzarote this Monday with my DH and 2 children. We are doing 5 nights in a complex and it's cost just under 4.5k. Does this seem extortionate? Or the norm these days? It's also completely self catering. I can't help but feel it's a waste of money and I could have got somewhere nicer/better? What have u all booked abroad these summer holidays?

Just go and make the most of it given that you’ve already paid.

Holidays just cost so much more since Covid. I’ve accepted it now and we spend an eye watering amount on holidays each year but it still feels worth it to me.

I got a week in Ikos for similar excluding flights. I’d say you overpaid for sure.

Some of these replies are bonkers. Without knowing exactly what she's paid for how can you possibly say she's been ripped off. How can you compare your own holiday to this one without knowing what her holiday is?
