Do you think some people are almost addicted to holidaysvand holiday planning?

I think I am one of these people 🙈

I always have to have something to look forward to. I love travelling, not just holidaying. I love big road trips, exploring places off the beaten track etc but my kids tease me for booking a holiday on a holiday. I do this almost always 🙈 we are just back from a huge holiday touring around Canada. I already have a trip in Sept with DH & DD in Oct. Just squeezed in a short family break in Ireland before both of those for August bank holiday in Ireland (where we live).

Now looking at NYC for Dec 🙈 sometimes I wonder am I trying to escape my day to day life 🙈🙈

I've only read your first OP @Travelfairy but I'm exactly the same. I try to get away for a week at least 4 times a year (not necessarily abroad) and away at weekends as often as possible.

Yes, I think it's escapism from real life and always having something to look forward to.

Life is definitely too short so if you have the time, the inclination and the money, do it. No regrets. Anyone teasing is probably jealous but that's their problem, not yours (unless you're rubbing their noses in it going on about your next holiday all the time).

OP I’m with you on this! I feel so inspired when I’m visiting somewhere different in the UK or abroad that yes, during one trip I’ll be just planning the next as I feel even more inspired whilst staying somewhere new!

I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of where I’d love to visit, even countries I’ve been to a few places within I’d like to see more of, and it can feel disheartening wondering when/how to see it all. So I keep trying to think back over where I have been to appreciate it.

Hope you get to visit many more interesting places! 😊

Thank you and you too 😘

Of course we're not all the same. My house is my sanctuary, I've no desire to travel.

My house is my sanctuary
but I still love to travel and have adventures and explore abroad with my children

Do you never go away @Chonk .Ever?!
