They’re by a company called pestects.co.uk (I’ve tried copying a link but isn’t working for some reason) and I’m tempted to buy a set but can’t afford to throw money away if they’re useless. Reviews mostly v good but I think I’d prefer some MNers to guide me, so if you’ve bought these I’d welcome your opinion 😊

I’ve had a quite a few of these, all different brands. They’re ok, but I still got bitten. I always get bitten though. I use them as useful during the day, but always top up with spray at night.

SoSoOuting · 14/06/2025 11:41

Bumping this for you as I want to know too.

omgitchiness · 14/06/2025 11:43

I've used these ones. Very impressed with them. Bought a second pack.
Only down side is they smell quite strong.

BakeOffRewatch · 14/06/2025 11:47

We used Mozzipatches on holiday with the baby and kids day and night, and us at night, they worked for us but the reviews on Boots website are mixed.

Bigpinkslippers · 14/06/2025 11:57

I tried these last year in Greece. Absolutely useless, I got 12 bites in one day. Bought jungle formula spray the next day and didn't get bitten again

mybrainpills · 14/06/2025 12:10

They give me a rash.

oncemoreuntothebeachdearfriends · 14/06/2025 12:15

Don't bother.

I use Deet bracelets (Mosi-off) on wrists & ankles, they work for me.

Titasaducksarse · 14/06/2025 12:26

Hi. Didn't work at all for me in Thailand

MoistVonL · 14/06/2025 12:26

I got bitten anyway.

RainBow725 · 14/06/2025 12:32

We used them in Lake Garda which is full of giant mosquitoes. I don’t know if it was luck or if they worked but I’d use them again. None of us got bitten. I really like the smell too. I take them off when showering as the smell wears off otherwise.

GenerousGardener · 14/06/2025 12:33

Spoke to my friend who came back from Cyprus on Friday. She got these for her DH. Absolutely useless, he’s got 18 bites on his legs alone, not counting the ones on his body. She’s writing to them to complain. Save your money OP.

SillyMillie90 · 14/06/2025 12:35

Yeah but all that happened was I was bit on my ankles, the furthest bit of skin from my wrists - the sneaks 😆

Yodeldodeldo · 14/06/2025 12:37

Worked well for our family

parietal · 14/06/2025 14:43

Deet sprayed on the skin is the only mosquito repellent that actually works.

Echlefecker · 14/06/2025 14:54

Wore them in Salou last year. I'm normally a mossie magnet but I ended up with just one bite. Got it at the end of the holiday and I was so surprised because I thought the bracelets were the best thing ever. I think I'll still.take some this year. I hate deet

EternalSunshine19 · 14/06/2025 14:56

I've tried the mosquito ones and found them good.
Get them from Savers, they're so much cheaper.

Eminybob · 14/06/2025 16:40

They work for me, the one day I didn’t wear one on my last holiday I got bitten to smithereens.

HedyPrism · 14/06/2025 16:47

Useless for me in Greece and Italy. Went back to DEET.

TheLazyPanda · 20/06/2025 22:31

@Happydaze2 I discovered these 2 years ago and they've been a godsend. Everything bites me the minute I set foot outside, and it makes outdoor events miserable. I first tried Pestects at a friend's BBQ and sat in the garden for 6 hours without being bitten. They even work in Scotland. Now I wear them 7-8 months of the year.

Jackreacherstrousers · 20/06/2025 23:09

The bracelets are absolutely rubbish. Either use a mossie repellant with deet as an ingredient or find out what the locals use.

loadypoady · 21/06/2025 03:13

Save your money bought them last year for holiday and DH still got bitten to smithereens.

Francestein · 21/06/2025 03:18

Not as effective as spray.

TheLazyPanda · 21/06/2025 12:06

I guess what the comments show is, everyone is different! All you can do is try a thing and see if it works for you.

HedyPrism · 03/07/2025 23:06

They are the exact ones I tried. They were fresh on and smelled of essential oils. I still got bitten.
