Hi, am thinking of going with 5yr old ds and some friends this year (children aged 2-35) and wondered if anyone had been and whether it was worth a go?

Thanks

Know this might sound a little strange but we often have to cancel things last minute...do you have any idea how much the tickets cost? We tend to leave buying/pre-booking to the very last minute now!

mamado · 02/06/2008 13:53

Instead of the Innocent Village fete, why not try the Lovebox weekend in Victoria Park? Funfairs, stuff for kids (including a special childrens area) and Flaming Lips and Goldfrapp headlining!

Hi cestlavie, I've pre-registered/booked for the Ben & Jerry one as I don't think we'll do the Innocent one-probably far too busy for ds.

I'm open to any suggestions tbh. I'd just like a few nice things booked for the summer...and free Ben & Jerry's sounds pretty good to me.
DS has already marked it on his calendar

It's in our diary too!

By the way parachutes have you ever come across this great song from Irish band; Something Happens parachute

parachutes · 03/06/2008 13:26

Not heard that song before, but love the lyrics!
Did a search to hear it and found them on youtube on the Late Late Show in Ireland...which really brought back some memories as I used to live in Ireland as a child (well was actually born there!)

Thanks

parachutes · 04/06/2008 14:27

tickets on sale now...

ds and i really enjoyed it last year.

lots of sponsorship stuff, but mostly things you'd be interested in if you were in any way concerned with anything green...

nice gentle things for kids to do (although helter skelter which was the most full on thing was extra) little dance displays, sheepdog displays that kind of thing. plenty of food options for kids. nice vibe, nothing high pressure. lots of crafty things to do. think it would suit very well parachutes!

ScottishMummy · 10/06/2008 20:27

yes went last year fantastic fun stalls, fabby music tents, lots to meander about.family orientated in morning and afternoon
