Taking about a week to ten days at the moment for adult renewals. Probably have it before Valentines Day!

VonHally · 25/01/2025 14:08

I may be wrong but perhaps OP's first language is not English?

OP you WILL get your passport by June, unless there is something dodgy about your application! If everything is OK you should get the passports very soon.

No need to worry.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 25/01/2025 14:11

Mine took 11 days, first passport and a name change by deed poll.

Yes the tracking number just says delivered and signed just wait for them too look at it but heard nothing

That’s entirely normal. I got that message and then nothing for about five days. Then it was all sorted and back to me by about day 8

yours might be longer but I really don’t think you need to worry

fluffiphlox · 25/01/2025 14:23

Very good turnaround times currently. Get a grip.

Ashadav · 25/01/2025 14:23

Thank you sorry if I was coming across vague I suffer with anxiety and am really overwhelmed. I didn't know I needed my passport yet but a family member abroad poorly and need to visit before too late. I do apologise everyone thanks for advice

OP posts:
Flustration · 25/01/2025 14:31

Sorry to hear about your poorly family member.

Passport turn around times are very fast at the moment, especially for simple things like renewals. If you posted it first class on Tuesday I would expect to get it back between Thursday 30th January and Thursday 13th February with current wait times.

No news is good news! I recently renewed DS's passport and his new one arrived before the online tracking was updated.

If there is a problem with the renewal expect to hear from them sooner. Don't worry if this happens and you don't want to wait another 3 weeks as there are 2 fast track options you can try instead.

Try not to worry and if you do need to speak to the passport office try to stay calm and get them to repeat anything that is unclear.

There's nothing vague about your replies, you just can't read.

You posted yesterday to say the countersignature wasn't OK. So, they hae recieved the application, and are processing it.
Take a deep breath. Deal with the countersigniture, then forget about it for a week unless they contact you. Schedule to check up on any progress once a week - say a Wednesday afternoon. It's HMPO. Things move slowly, but not likely that June is a problem. But stressing about it enough to make several threads here isn't going to speed things up, and is just going to worsen your anxiety.

Yes it was my son's it was mine I was getting advice for. Sorry everyone I will contact them in a couple of days

JellyBeanFactory · 25/01/2025 15:29

You know they've received it.

Why are you so worried? It's not been a week yet!
There's absolutely no need to chase them, let the passport office do their job.

SnowyIcySnow · 25/01/2025 15:51

Don't contact them next week, @Ashadav

Current times are about 3 weeks looking online.
Wait until at least that after you sent everything off until you contact them.. Until that point, sit on you hands and let it work its way through the system.

Needing it for June isn't unexpectedly, thats renewing in very good time

There's no need to contact them unless it gets to March and you haven't heard

Ashadav · 25/01/2025 16:26

Yes think I'm over reacting about the whole thing I've sent a paper application with everything in it photos old passport birth certificate marriage certificate headed letter with my address on its a renewel and change name unless it's a prob with the countersigniture that would be the only issue ... I'm hoping so...

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 25/01/2025 16:46

You dont need a countersignature for an adult renewal. Or your birth certificate or a headed letter. All you needed was the form, the photos and marriage certificate if changing your name.

Hoppinggreen · 25/01/2025 16:48

Ashadav · 25/01/2025 13:39

So you saying it won't be done as this is wat you have wrote

OP posts:
DreamW3aver · 25/01/2025 17:11

dementedpixie · 25/01/2025 17:12

Did you not think to do them online? Then you could have had the countersignature done online using an email address.

Good luck with the teacher, I think most schools say no nowadays, has she known him for 2 years? Or you for that long?
