Good luck with the teacher, I think most schools say no nowadays, has she known him for 2 years? Or you for that long?

Edited

3.5 years she knows him for. My friend a NHS nurse also so might ask her

For a child they are supposed to have known the adult (you) for 2 years and be able to recognise the child they are signing for. I'd choose your nhs nurse friend instead.

Choose either of them then if they are willing to do it for you. Our teachers weren't allowed to do passport forms for the kids at their school.

In our experience it takes 1 to 2 weeks between the tracking service saying it's been delivered and the first progress message, because the delivery is just physically getting the envelope into the mail room where it sits in a pile for a bit.

Once they open the envelope, though, they send you several texts or e-mails to say where it is progressing. Then you get one saying that it's been sent out with the Royal Mail tracking code. As a PP said, it's a really efficient service.
