Is 3k an expensive price for a week 5* AI?

Two adults and a baby.

Is it expensive? All included including flights and baggage, and it’s ultra all inclusive with drinks, room service and a la carte restaurants included.

Trying to work out if it’s a huge spend or what you pay by 2025 standards

Where to? I think that's a really good price. DH and I (plus two DC) have just spend 12k for a week next year AI on a cruise.

Salohlah · 25/12/2024 20:48

Sounds a good price assuming you are going outside of school holidays? That always knocks the price down a bit too.

YellowDiamondsInTheSky · 25/12/2024 20:48

Really depends where and which hotel.

mynameiscalypso · 25/12/2024 20:48

That seems really cheap. We did a 4* AI last year and we paid well over £10k for three of us.

I think just like clothes sizes, star ratings don’t really hold the meaning we associate to them.

But in general terms, £3k is reasonable.

It’s an IKOS so heard good things!

Sounds reasonable, assuming the baby is basically free.

Yes exactly. I think we have to stay in a larger room with a capacity of 3 people rather than 2 so it is slightly more

Definitely a good price then.

mydailymailhell · 25/12/2024 20:52

Absolute bargain if it’s an IKOS. Do a search and see how much it would cost in school holidays!!

Msmoonpie · 25/12/2024 20:52

If it’s IKOS then it’s very good !

lightsandtunnels · 25/12/2024 20:53

Sounds reasonable to me. You could spend at least £1.5k on nice food and drinks in a week in bars and restaurants so sounds like a good deal.

Wow, double for the same thing. Eek.

it is May so not sure Greece is the warmest and maybe that’s why it’s cheap, but almost happy to gamble on the weather a bit especially with a small baby

I was about to ask if it's ikos before i carried on reading! We took DS at 11 months for the first time and again at 23 months and booked again for 35 months! Is it a junior suite you've been quoted for? We think ikos is brilliant for what we're looking for, will the weather be warm but not boiling when you're booked?

toooldtobeamum · 25/12/2024 20:57

I'm a travel agent and that is an AMAZING price for an Ikos hotel! Good choice and enjoy x

ringmybe11 · 25/12/2024 20:57

Ah just seen your previous message we've booked Greece for May next year (not Ikos though) that's June! Definitely go for it I say

All depends what you earn, what you have available , what you're willing to spend. Not for me but I'm not you

Was about to say, outside of school hols for 2 adults in Europe it's pricey unless it's Ikos!
