Is 3k an expensive price for a week 5* AI?

Two adults and a baby.

Is it expensive? All included including flights and baggage, and it’s ultra all inclusive with drinks, room service and a la carte restaurants included.

Trying to work out if it’s a huge spend or what you pay by 2025 standards

It's a good price for Ikos. Is it one of the Halkidiki ones? We've been twice at Easter and been very lucky with the weather. This year it was really warm. But even if it's not there's lots to do and indoor pool etc. You'll have a great time. Food/drinks are amazing and fun things for little ones. It's worth the money.

Decent for IKOS though?

Absolutely! Which tour operator are you looking at? If you're in the south, BA can be well priced for Ikos.

I’d say that’s decent for ikos. I’ve just spent £2500 for AI for 4 adults (well one older teen and 3 adults) in two rooms for the first week of September in Greece.

I tend to either do b&b or a cheap AI if I can get a good deal as don’t like to feel tied to the hotel. We Like the convenience of AI for drinks etc but go off and explore most days and always eat at least one meal out so don’t like to spend thousands on an AI we won’t make the most of.

with a little baby I can def see the appeal though.

it is May so not sure Greece is the warmest and maybe that’s why it’s cheap, but almost happy to gamble on the weather a bit especially with a small baby

I would definitely go to Greece in May, they are getting more and more heatwaves out there now and I wouldn't go in July/August again having gone out in early July last year. May/October should be optimal.

Clearinguptheclutter · 26/12/2024 10:30

For an Ikos yes very good (I’ve never been but I gather it’s nice and when I’ve priced it uk it’s been £8k minimum, for four of us in school hols).

generally speaking though I think if AI is cheap then there is a reason. Which is usually that it just isn’t very nice. If off season
it may be the weather as it can be iffy- but also could be nice. We went once in early June and it rained the whole time though I think that was bad luck. At a good price and with a baby though I’d do the gamble. I wouldn’t go near in July-August as I’d worry about 45 degree plus heatwaves which I’d HATE

Sounds decent for ikons. In the summer holidays for two adults and two primary dcs you're looking at £10-£12k and easyjet flights.

However, I've done all inclusive 4* term time with a baby before for less than £1k, I'm not sure paying another £2k would be worth it at that age.

eklaljdj · 26/12/2024 19:52

I was going to say yes great price for IKOS but May is too soon for Greece IMO (as do many others, hence the price) might be ok if it's right at the end of the month but assume not if outside holidays.

Where to? I think that's a really good price. DH and I (plus two DC) have just spend 12k for a week next year AI on a cruise.

😱
me and DP going ( sor far) to ;
Vietnam and Thailand for 3 weeks
disney Paris ( me DP, Dd, SIL, 2 Gd) 4 nights
vancouver and Rockies …me and DP for 2 weeks
zadar 1 week ( me and DP)
all for way under 12k

you must be wayyy richer than me to spend 12k on one weeks holiday

loobylou10 · 26/12/2024 20:09

We've paid 3400 for a week at Ikos Odisia next October so yes it's a good price. Ikos is absolutely stunning (we went this last October) and unlike anywhere we've ever been before. Def book OP, you won't be disappointed

Pigeonqueen · 26/12/2024 20:13

For an IKOS that’s a brilliant price. If it’s Dassia it’s a beautiful place - we didn’t stay at Ikos but I think that’s where it is?

We have paid £3.5k for two adults and one child for Sensatori in Majorca in June. 5 stars, several good restaurants all inclusive etc. So I think that’s about the going rate.

holidayoptions · 27/12/2024 15:34

5 nights is 2k, which somehow seems even better just not sure that’s enough time

That's a bargain

Enjoy those prices whilst you still can
