Would you pay £500 each to upgrade to business for an 8 hour flight?

Flying home overnight from Barbados. Working from home the day we land. An upgrade to Business would cost roughly £500 each. This is vs economy standard.

It’s a relatively short long haul flight, at 8 hours. Is it worth it? £1000 is about 15% of our take home salary for context.

Fly economy and make believe you've earned a grand sitting on your backsides. Good money for eight hours of that.

I don’t see it like this, not only do I enjoy the flight a lot more, I don’t feel rough for a couple of days afterwards which I do if I fly long haul in economy.

It totally depends on you. I don't fly economy and just allow for the expense which I can afford because I feel terrible for days when sleep deprived. Decent business means I get on the plane and sleep for the whole flight. My husband doesn't find it stressful and whilst he could afford business, finds it obscene to waste 3 grand on a flight and spends the money on other things. Horses for courses. It doesn't make either of us right. The miles I accrue usually pay for his fmeconomy flights to be fair.
