Weekend or Midweek 2 nights for two women, not a romantic hotel type place.
DSis lives in NW and I live in SW both drive

So far I’ve found Hoar Cross Hall and Ragdale Hall but there must be more.

We’re the other side of fifty so not in Hen Party territory
Looking for exercise classes, spa pools and relaxation zones.

City or countryside , we’re flexible.

Suggestions gratefully received.

Ragdale Hall is one of the best in the country. It’s virtually a five star hotel with wonderful spa facilities. They serve breakfast in bed. I wouldn’t bother to look any further.

What's your budget?

RaspberryWhip · 14/10/2024 17:10

Thank you for the replies.
Ragdale Hall sounds ideal, have you stayed there @Rocknrollstar ?
Some of the reviews look a bit iffy.
We’ve got a healthy budget for the right place

I highly recommend Carden Park, although appreciate its a bit of a distance from the SW. The outdoor facilities are incredible - even in the winter (have been in January) - and they have a sensible capacity limit so it's never overcrowded. A nice mix of solo women, friend trips and couples.

Woodland Spa near Burnley is amazing, has recently been refurbished and made bigger. Location great for your DSis, you not so much.

I've heard good things about the Nirvana Spa in Berkshire, but have never been myself. Good 'halfway' location for you both.

There's also Rudding Park near Harrogate but again, might be a bit far for you to travel.

Nirvana Spa is a luxurious pure water spa in Wokingham, Berkshire. Experience a truly relaxing spa day, with unique state-of-the-art spa facilities.

Would recommend Carden Park. Went in December and it was fab. Spa probably better than hotel however. Am currently loooknh At Hoar Hall so interested if anyone been

whiteroseredrose · 15/10/2024 19:11

Ragdale is in the right place. I have been a few times and like it because it's purpose is to be a spa, not a hotel with spa attached.

Believe it or not, the spas in Centre Parcs are nice too.

FailyDail · 15/10/2024 19:15

Carden park, lovely, high end a real treat.

salcombebabe · 15/10/2024 19:33

Hoar Cross Hall is fabulous! The beds are so comfortable, the treatments are amazing and you’ll sleep sooo well. I was so very relaxed when I was there.

Ragdale Hall is really good too, like Hoar Cross Hall but just a bit busier.

PieonaBarm · 15/10/2024 19:44

Another vote for Woodland Spa!

summer555 · 15/10/2024 20:49

I went to Ragdale Hall a few months ago. The package was excellent and we really enjoyed the restaurant. The spa itself is extensive but a bit dated, I guess partly as newer spas have upped the game. We were in the main building and even then it was quite a walk to our rooms.

countdowntonap · 15/10/2024 21:44

Moddershall Oaks?

pambeesleyhalpert · 15/10/2024 21:48

Dormy house?

yoshiblue · 15/10/2024 21:49

Another vote for The Woodland Spa. I was there last week and it's was bliss!

Massivescreen · 15/10/2024 22:00

I went for a spa day at Rookery Hall a few months ago, it was quite expensive but it was amazing. I think they do overnights too.

StampOnTheGround · 15/10/2024 22:23

I will vouch for Hoar Cross Hall, it's absolutely fantastic.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 15/10/2024 22:55

The glass house retreat. loved it!

WGACA · 15/10/2024 22:59

Ragdale

sakura06 · 15/10/2024 23:01

I loved Hoar Cross Hall! I daydream about my stay sometimes 🫣 The food was fabulous and the spa was very relaxing. You could also take classes and I took two yoga ones (a friend did weightlifting).
