Weekend or Midweek 2 nights for two women, not a romantic hotel type place.
DSis lives in NW and I live in SW both drive

So far I’ve found Hoar Cross Hall and Ragdale Hall but there must be more.

We’re the other side of fifty so not in Hen Party territory
Looking for exercise classes, spa pools and relaxation zones.

City or countryside , we’re flexible.

Suggestions gratefully received.

@summer555 I've read that it is ok but that the spa is not really integrated in the hotel experience? Also is it more a family place? We are two mum and adult daughter groups

The spa is nice but is at one end of the hotel and somewhat self contained. The pool itself is nothing special unless you love black tiles but the various sub-rooms are good (but not so good for couples as they're mainly single sex). I think the experience is at its best when the outdoor pool and walled garden is open in the summer (and there's an outdoor cinema).

My older teens love the Glasshouse restaurant (high-end buffet) and the residents' lounges and grounds are lovely for a wander. The rooms vary - I'd avoid the ones overlooking the car parks and go for a garden view or upgrade to a mansion room.

If you like a celeb spot, it's pretty good for that (Tom Cruise, Kylie, Brad Pitt etc have stayed there as Warner studios are round the corner) and I've seen the England football team a few times.
