We need to get our butts in gear. Keep talking about it but not sorting it.

Hey sparkler, Antigua 2 weeks, November.

KatyMac · 19/04/2008 19:29

Norfolk Broads

Sparkler · 19/04/2008 19:33

We've decided to go near'ish to home camping for a week. Thinking also of camping in Lake District but part of me fancies a bit of sun and sea but not sure we can afford it this year.

Somewhere in October with PIL/SIL&BIL and neice and nephew (MIL 60th birthday should be fun )

FAQ · 19/04/2008 19:38

we're going to go in August, been looking at some cheap caravan/holiday park type places this afternoon (that will work out even cheaper with the 2 of us sharing a 3 bedroom place with our 4 DS's......).

ComeOVeneer · 19/04/2008 19:39

A week in Chicago next month minus children (yay). then 2 weeks here end of August with my sister and her brood. DH has a golfing weekend (actually 4 days) this weekend and I have a spa long weekend booked with friends in October.

llareggub · 19/04/2008 19:40

We're going to Devon next month then off to Cornwall in June. We want to book something for September but can't face another drive down to south west England so will probably fly somewhere hot-ish.

windygalestoday · 19/04/2008 19:48

ohh its a fab holidat faq youll have a brill time we are staying at the haven camp on the beach then near the broads in suffolk cos thats where my nanna lives

KatyMac · 19/04/2008 19:50

August

Can't wait

Which is a bit sad as we will be travelling less than 5 miles to get there

KatyMac · 19/04/2008 19:50

FAQ - do you want advise on where is best to go?

Lizzzombie · 19/04/2008 19:52

Alvor, Portugal. 2 hours transfer from airport, but hopefully will be worth it. Has anyone else been there?

(was a bargain)

ScienceTeacher · 19/04/2008 19:53

We are going to Centerparcs in France. Today, we have been working out the extra bits before and after CP.

Farb · 19/04/2008 19:53

Abersoch. Can't wait.

The Vendee

FAQ · 19/04/2008 19:58

Katy - any advice gratefully recieved, we've been looking at this website today so not strictly Great Yarmouth, but that sort of area.......and those sort of prices (must be at least 3 bedroom too as there'll be us and 4 DS's!)

KatyMac · 19/04/2008 19:59

Do you want to be by the sea?

Do you have a car?

How are you getting here?

ladytophamhatt · 19/04/2008 20:01

Perranporth, Cornwall.
2-16 Aug.

FAQ · 19/04/2008 20:02

near the sea would be good, no we don't have a car........we'll probably be taxi-ing over (well after looking at bus/train times and costs today it's going to work out roughly the same price to get a long distance taxi to take us and drop us off as it would to get the train, and the coach would take nearly 8hrs!!!) (no thanks with 4 boys that will be aged 7,4 21 months and 15 months.....)

IdrisTheDragon · 19/04/2008 20:04

We're going to the Vendee in August for 10 days.

RIELOVESBACARDI · 19/04/2008 20:04

spain for a week with the kids
and italy for 6 days with dh and our 2 best mates, no kids

KatyMac · 19/04/2008 20:04

this is my favourite but it's a bit in accessible (& too expensive)
