Resorts with 2 actual bedrooms

minimonkey11 · 07/07/2024 21:42

I have searched and searched on threads and websites but even the ones that say they have 2 bedrooms only actually have 1 bedroom and a sofa bed. My children (DS13 and DD9) really dont want to share and we dont want to sleep on a sofa bed. We went to a villa on a resort in Tenerife and it was perfect! Just looking for that again really! Please send personal recommendations for somewhere hot in October that has 2 actual bedrooms on a resort/hotel! tia

Sorry can't help but interested in the same, so watching closely!

Ducksurprise · 07/07/2024 21:57

Don't you need three bedrooms if DC don't want to share and you don't want to sleep on sofa bed?

Santa Barbara golf and ocean club in Tenerife? Maybe that's where you already stayed though!

Aliathon Holiday village in Paphos. The kids den room has two proper beds in one room and double in the other. The two bedroom apartment offers the same plus a living room.

hollyblueivy · 07/07/2024 22:08

Do the holiday search on the link and filter by room type selecting 2+ bedrooms.

hollyblueivy · 07/07/2024 22:16

Room type only seems to come up when you select one option for destination breathe than all destinations.

I've stayed in Hilton's with a double room and a bunk room both off a corridor with the bathroom, also holiday inn executive rooms with twin beds in the sitting room

I agree, this should really be something you can search for in the filters, 2 bed rooms do exist but such a pain to find. We tend to books air bnbs now for this reason but I do love an AI sometimes.

Columbia Beach Resort in Cyprus - the one bedroom family suite has a double room and a twin with sliding doors in between. The two bedroom suite has a double room, a twin room and a sitting area in between (could be used as a 3rd single room).

Further afield the Beachcomber chain of hotels in Mauritius (eg Canonnier, Victoria, Shandrani etc) all have family suites/apartments with two proper separate bedrooms.

minipie · 07/07/2024 22:30

I believe travel agents have access to software which lets you search for this so worth asking some agents

Recently went to Sri Lanka and stayed in the Riu bentota and were upgraded to a 2 bed room suites that had two big rooms. 1 room with a super king bed and the other room with two double beds. So kids shared a room but had their own double bed each. My kids loved it!

Also in turkey stayed at the Ramada Resort by Wyndham in kussadasi that had two bedroom apartments in their hotel. Kids had own room to share but two single beds.

minimonkey11 · 07/07/2024 22:32

Thanks for comments so far! We stayed at Villa Maria in Tenerife (la Caleta) which was beautiful. I mean the kids would love a bedroom each but we aren’t millionaires so i meant they didnt want to share a sofa bed! I will look at the suggestions so far….

Another vote here for Insotel Punta Prima in Menorca!

EdgarAllenRaven · 07/07/2024 22:38

Also Apartments Mestral & Llebeig in Menorca, but food wasn’t as good there as the Insotel and the resort is much quieter. Otherwise great apartment and facilities

When we were looking, we would find something we liked on tui/jet2 etc... and then Google the hotel directly, often the hotels own website had more details/photos of the rooms, so we could work it out that way.

Eden Resort in Portugal. There are one and two bed apartments.

hjor20 · 07/07/2024 22:41

HD Parque Cristobal in Tenerife. 2 bed bungalows, sofa bed in lounge too.

huuskymam · 07/07/2024 22:43

Quintas village in Porches, Portugal. 2 bed maisonettes with a front and communal back garden, everything you'd need, it's also a nice quiet place.

DoublePeonies · 08/07/2024 06:33

Jet2, pick a location, then you can filter by 2+ rooms.

Magic Natura for starters, but don't know what October weather is like.

Sauvignonblanket · 08/07/2024 06:49

Tui Magic Life Calabria and Cala Pada both do. Also Salgados Palm village in Southern Portugal. You sometimes have to get way into the booking process before you can check the rooms, it should be much easier!

HAF1119 · 08/07/2024 06:57

Have a look at holiday villages, some do kids dens which is a seperate room with 2 beds

And consider speaking to a travel agent about interconnecting rooms at resorts
