Hi! if you have stayed in these hotels can you please let me know experiences/reviews please. We will have 2 children aged 3 and 6.

I've stayed in the GF Costa Adeje Gran twice. I found it ideal with young children including a ND child with food issues.

rookiemere · 18/06/2024 17:23

The Anthelia is a lovely stylish upmarket hotel. The big pool is salt water if that matters to you.

We stayed at the Gran last October. A nice hotel and would be suitable for young children, but to me felt more like 4 star than 5.

Hard Rock is quite isolated if you're wanting to go out to restaurants and the hotel.

Thank you - food is always a main consideration when with children.

Thank you - Hard Rock was my least favourite and it being isolated I have ruled out. How was the food and entertainment at the Iberostar - did it cater well to small children?

@Queenbee2709 it is a long time since we stayed at the Anthelia and we were breakfast only - I do remember that being magnificent.

I can't remember exactly on the entertainment, DS had a great time as I recall.

We went in Feb and stayed in the Hovima Jardin Caleta. We have three kids, and have to book two hotel rooms, so couldn't afford anywhere posher:) We walked into Costa Adeje most evenings past many of the hotels. H10 Costa Adeje Palace looked liked it was well set up for kids with a splash pool and slides. Tivoli La Caleta looked very upmarket, with a nice chill out bar overlooking the sea. GF Costa Adeje is in a more urban location, but it has a nice shopping centre next door that has a Chinese and Indian restaurant. Anthelia is in a convenient location, the coast north of it is more upmarket and playa del duque is nice. If you walk a 5 minutes south you have a lot of bars and restaurants around Playa Fanabe, though it's a bit more of a concrete jungle around there.

I've not stayed at the Hard Rock before but have seen it from the Jet 2 bus on the way into Adeje and always feel it is very far out. Have you considered the GF Victoria? It's a beautiful hotel with lovely pools.

Thank you so much - I am going to check out the hotels you have mentioned. There seems to be pros and cons for most hotels - I cant find a clear fave for tenerife!

Thank you - A number of posters have mentioned Hard Rock is isolated so I have ruled that out. I like to have the option to venture out.

Oooh I have just looked at the GF Victoria - I think I like this more than my earlier suggestions. Off to look into further reviews for this hotel!

If you book the Victoria, email the hotel and request a pool view room on the 5th floor, it was a great location!

Went to the Anthelia about 5 years ago with young kids and found it perfect for us. It’s not as flashy as some but the quality of the food and drink on AI easily outstripped some higher end places we’ve been.

No probs, a clear favourite for people who can afford it is The Royal Hideaway Corales. It is split into two parts, with one part adults only and the suites part for families. It has Michelin stared restaurants and a really good kids club from ages 3 and up. If you're going in low season you might be able to get a good deal.

If you are staying in Caleta, I can recommend eating in a place called Tapitas.

GF Victoria! Absolute no brainer!

it’s heaven, amazing for kids and just more heaven!

IHeartMac · 20/06/2024 12:11

My children are slightly older but absolutely loved the GF Victoria, they want to go back again this year. The breakfast was amazing, pools great and suites are spacious. There’s so much to do in the hotel and loads of restaurants nearby.

AIstolemylunch · 20/06/2024 12:11

You'd need a car for the Hard Rock i think or spend on taxis.

TheWormThatTurned · 20/06/2024 14:08

Another vote for GF Victoria. Fab hotel and perfect for your kids ages.
We did breakfast only and then had dinner at the hotel some nights but went out to explore and eat out other nights. Highly recommend!!

Thank you so much to you all for your experiences - we have gone with the GF Victoria which wasn't even on my original shortlist!

Very excited after seeing such positive reviews from you all and online.

Do you have loud and boisterous children or quieter?

We stay at the Royal Sun Suites in Los Gigantes, it's great if you like a quieter hotel, the ents team are lovely and get to know adults and children well, toddler pool and kiddies disco. Each room has a huge balcony and a kitchenette with shop in the complex and1 fine dining restaurant and the other a buffet. It's at the top of a hill so a way from the louder touristy parts but near enough to a main bus station, the marina and black sand beach with good snorkeling.

We go half board and just charge drinks, ice creams and lunch to the room which is cheap. And they are 'terrible' bar staff who give very generous servings.

Thank you so much for your suggestion - I have saved all hotel suggestions as I think the canaries will be our go to destination in October.

We have booked the GF Victoria today!

You won’t regret it! We are back in 6 weeks and my 2 who are 5 &6 are counting down the days! They have gone since being 2 & 3

GF Victoria looks lovely. We had a cocktail at their rooftop bar. It's also better situated for going to the beach and shops and restaurants than your initial options.
