All inclusive with 2 bedrooms

We are looking for an all-inclusive holiday for next year - somewhere like Menorca, Fuerteventura, Portugal, Greece etc

We have two children - they'll be 4 and 9 and want somewhere with 2 bedrooms ideally. I don't want them to sleep in the lounge as, when they're in bed, we will want somewhere to be until we go to sleep. I also don't really like the idea of paying £5k+ to sleep on a sofa.

Any recommendations??

There are plenty like this in the Canaries. I can't recommend as mine are adults now so no recent experience but we always booked a two bedroom
I found that when you are searching for two adults and two children they throw up one bed apartments because they are classed as for 4 people. Try searching for 6 adults and then you can see what's available.

I stayed in a 2 room 'suite' last month at the Golden Taurus in Pineda de Mar. Good hotel for kids.

Icantfindanewname · 11/06/2024 16:49

If you'd give Lara beach in turkey a try, Wyndham gardens or Ramada resort (across a drive from each other and mirror hotels). 2 bedrooms and a huge living room in their family rooms. We've stayed there a couple of times.

mitogoshi · 11/06/2024 16:57

There's quite a few hotels with 2 bed apartments. The trick to finding them is to pretend you are searching for 3 kids then it will filter out the 1 bed places. I've found quite a few in Spain especially

Rshard · 11/06/2024 16:58

Barceló Tenerife has interconnecting rooms, lovely hotel.

modgepodge · 11/06/2024 17:01

I find it utterly infuriating that it is not possible to search for places that have 2 bedrooms on websites like tui. Didn’t think of the 6 person hack mentioned above, smart move!!

I don’t get why it’s such a rare thing to want? I don’t want the kids in my room on holidays, and don’t want to sleep on a sofa bed, nor have my kids in the lounge. Yet almost all family rooms have one of these issues!!

no recommendations I’m afraid OP as I’ve yet to find anywhere. I thought I did last year but the wall between my daughters ‘bedroom’ and the lounge was half height, so her bed was essentially in the lounge 🙄

At the Bahia pollensa hotel in Majorca , if you book two studio apartment rooms (with two single beds each apartment) then ask for the rooms to be interconnected they can open the door between them

Just reviving this thread as I'm having a similar problem! Did you get anywhere @flingleflongle?!

I've done the trick above and searched as if booking for more people than are going so I can see that what I need does actually exist.
But when I go through to actually book (and so correct the passengers) it automatically downgrades the room with no option to book the larger capacity one that I know is available!
This is with Jet2- considering calling them tomorrow to see if there's any way they can override it or if the hotels save the bigger capacity rooms for larger groups.

I really don't want to share a room with DC(8)- no one will sleep well. Equally I don't want either me & DP or DC to have to sleep on a sofa bed.

Any thoughts welcome!

PeppyAquaFinch · 05/02/2025 20:26

Riu Papayas in Gran Canaria. 4 star plus

Los Zocos in Lanzarote. 3 star

Atlantica Mare in Cyprus. 5 star

All do 2 bed apartments. Totally agree re the aversion to sofa beds!

Enjoy holiday shopping!

NahThen · 05/02/2025 20:49

Thanks @PeppyAquaFinch!

The Lanzarote one especially looks like the sort of thing I'm aiming for in terms of resort/proximity to beach and restaurants but I'm having the same problem- I can see there is a two bedroom apartment (when I pretend I have 3 children!) but when I go through to book the maximum I can have is a junior suite, which is one bedroom and one living area only.

It'd be lovely holiday shopping if not for this issue 🥴

SmallGeezer · 05/02/2025 23:12

Menorca Prinsotel sa caleta - very quiet if that’s what you like and can upgrade to half board (drinks v cheap)

User1213 · 06/02/2025 09:13

@NahThen I’m having the same problem, or when I go to upgrade the room it’s adding £1000+ extra, understand the need for extra but £1000 seems excessive, then opt for the more favourable flights time of early / mid day for the inward and outward leg and it’s doubled the price of the holiday. I don’t want to arrive at mid night and leave at midnight when I’ll be chucked out the room for 10am and any food / drink in the package also stops.

I had this problem last year looking at canaries so ended up booking separately, flights with Ryan Air which oddly still seem to have the better flight times to Europe at the moment and then direct with Riu Buenvista. Two full rooms both with a sofa bed too, was great but I fancy somewhere else this year.

Bjorkdidit · 06/02/2025 11:42

I think if you speak to Jet2 they might be able to help you find 2 bedroom accommodation, it's not easy to find on their website without clicking through loads of different options. They're also sold through Hayes Travel so it could be if you go to one of their shops they might be able to advise.

Their flight times are generally good though. ie go out in the morning and depart in the early afternoon.

Fluffyc1ouds · 06/02/2025 14:26

@NahThen I recently booked a holiday with Jet2 and when you search the dates and location a filter appears (right at the bottom on the left) which let me select the type of room. There was an option for 2 bed apartment, villa, etc. I ticked all the types that sounded suitable and then it only gave me results that had them available. I had to click through a few and look at pictures to find one that was suitable but it helped.

modgepodge · 06/02/2025 18:22

Ugh I had another look at holidays with this requirement again today. Even searching the exact hotels listed above I often couldn’t seem to find the right rooms, or if I did they were self catering not all inclusive.

Might be worth going into a Tui store etc to get them to book it?

Hayley1256 · 06/02/2025 18:29

I just change the room type on jet 2 or tui - always let's me book a 2 bedroom

NahThen · 06/02/2025 21:12

Thanks all! I actually called Jet2 today- my call was answered within a few minutes and the lady I spoke to was really helpful (in her manner at least)- she said she was basically having the same problem as me and the only workaround she could suggest was to book then contact the hotel directly, ask for the upgrade to 2 bedroom and pay the difference. I'm not wild about this idea- like you say @User1213 it can put the price of the holiday up to an unaffordable level. I looked into separate flights/hotel but I was at nearly 2k on flights alone 😱

Very interesting to hear that about Hayes travel @Bjorkdidit there's one near me, I could call in at the weekend and see if they have a better solution. I understand I'll have to pay a premium but I want to know upfront how much that is, not when my hands are already tied! I could also go in to TUI but I've noticed the flight times don't seem as good and the price is higher- but for comparison I could try it.

Ohh I don't think I've noticed the bottom left filter option @Fluffyc1ouds I'll psych myself up and have another look! I'm currently at @modgepodge's stage of "ugh" with the whole thing!

@Hayley1256 I can see the 2beds are available but once I set to 3 passengers they aren't on the upgrade/rooms available options 🥴

Hayley1256 · 06/02/2025 21:18

That's so strange, I've not had it disappear off the list before. I'm away with jet2 in July and have booked a 2 room suite. I'm going to see what happens with some hotels I had on my list

Eftalia Blue in Turkey and all the others in greece on my shortlist will let me book a 2 bedroom with Jet2 ( I've gone to select room stage of booking). I guess with some they won't have all the rooms available on your dates. I've honestly never had this problem but do book well in advance

I just searched this out of interest and yes, you're absolutely right it does come up with a perfect two bedroom apartment. Perfect flight times. And only an extra £300 for the room upgrade. I might just book that 🤣 I'd prefer Greece to Turkey mind you, if there's anything on your shortlist you could share!

I wondered about the dates thing but I kept them the same- only changed the number of children and poof, 2beds vanished. I didn't know booking a holiday could be such a headache!
