What to do in Majorca in the rain?

We're going to Majorca/Mallorca this weekend and the weather is set to be pouring with rain/thunderstorms for a couple of days. We're self-catering with an outdoor pool. None of us have ever been to Majorca before, so I'd like to make the most of it despite the weather.

Any ideas of rain-friendly things to do? It's me, DH and DC aged 13 and 10.

Went to Majorca in may this year was horrible weather, went to the pirate show, was brilliant.

There’s a really good aquarium down from the airport in Palma. Mostly indoors. You could go into Palma, and visit cathedral and palace next door. Whilst there have a wonder round Palma, if there’s a dry spell. Do you have a car?

Try not to worry, the forecast very often says 100% rain but it lasts minutes. It will dry up quickly.
We had a thunder storm there this time last year, it was pretty awesome. We could see it rolling in from our lounger, then the heavens opened for all of 5 minutes. Was fun watching everyone dive for cover.

Porto Pi is a great mall and has a cinema that sometimes shows English films.

Aquarium is also a good idea.

Festival outlet park (on the road to Inca) is good for shopping

Drachs caves - absolutely beautiful!

Are you sure about the rain?
I am going in a couple of days and only see one morning of rain forecast.
I was planning to just get up a bit late and let it run its course.

Aquarium is great. Porto Pi is a good mall. The large El Cortes Ingles department store is nice. The Son Amar show or Pirates are good.

Ooh and the caves!

Ive only been once. Easter 2019. Rained and was grey all week. U.K. was glorious!

We go to Mallorca lots and do the aquarium in Palma if raining.

Cathedral wonderful and Palma is just a lovely city in general... plenty of indoor stuff. The shopping is great and some amazing restaurants. Also fab museums and the castle.

Palma, the caves and the pirate show sound fun. We have a car so can get ourselves around.

I'm going to Palma, and not til Monday - phew!

Palma looks alright on Tuesday - we might head to that side of the island if it holds out. I looked at the caves for Sunday but they're fully booked. I quite fancy going anyway so have booked tickets for Tuesday afternoon.

Pre-book the drach caves online now - it books up.

cathedral is wonderful. Park in the underground car park and you don’t have far outdoors.

rain is very much on and off!! Can rain for 2 mins in the hour and then not again for 58 mins.

You can swim in the rain, you’re wet anyway.

Not in a thunderstorm!!

We braved the aquarium today, along with seemingly every other tourist on the island. I booked tickets online last night but we still had to queue outside in the pouring rain and then join crowds 4 people deep around every fish tank. It's a cool place and we enjoyed it, but I don't recommend it on a rainy day in peak holiday season!

We are off to Majorca tomorrow as well!! Fingers crossed for the weather 🤞

I'm taking shelter in the caves on Tuesday!

My daughter has just sent me a link about the weather in Majorca….am going to bed hoping that tomorrow will be ok 🤞 I might be at the aquarium by Tuesday!!

DS supposed to fly tonight but cancelled due to storms. Think it's clearer tomorrow onwards looking at Met Office so Im hoping they get to go tomorrow

My friends got cancelled whilst at the airport this morning. They were told to come back on Tuesday.

@Beaverbridge yes my DS was told today prob be 48 hours but then told them very high chance can fly out Monday so they are going back to airport tomorrow morning
