Holiday Cottage Hell!

Well…not really hell, but I’m going round in circles on various sites.

Think I might be chasing a unicorn, but I’m trying to find a holiday cottage that sleeps 8, max 2 hours from London, for mid August. It’s to be a treat for my dad who has had a horrible year including a cancer diagnosis.

Anyone have any recommendations for good places to look, or better yet a recommendation?

This place in Cheltenham looks rather nice - and you get free cancellation up until the 9th August - much easier in event of an emergency than having to claim through travel insurance.

This one in Suffolkil is lovely and seems to be free for most of August... I love nearly all of the houses on coolstays. There are probably more which would fit the bill but this is the first I found.

Find a nice premier somewhere......cottages are a hit or a miss....

@Frogonthelog www.staycotswolds.co.uk have some larger properties for your week. I’ve only looked at Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire but quite a few come up. Most look pretty good to me and you could try Wiltshire too. Various prices but you will find something lovely.
