Anyone know about Vietnam visa?

We're travelling to Vietnam next month and will be there 16days. Currently the visa situation gives you 15 days but it's changing to 45 days in the middle of our holiday. Will this automatically apply to us or will we be stamped for 15 days and then have to get an extension when we're there does anyone know? I'm thinking of calling the embassy tomorrow to see if they can help clarify. Thanks.

How about getting an E-visa? That gives you 30 days.

Will have a look at that thanks. I think there was a charge though and I know the other ones are free.

The new visa policy (45 days for visa exemption and 90 days for visa) will take effect on August 15th but no one knows how it is.
As watermelon said above, you should apply for Evisa ($25 each) instead.

I agree with what everyone else said, you should get an eVisa. The visa policy for Vietnam hasn't been updated yet, so even if there’s a fee, you’ll have more peace of mind and won’t have to worry about getting one on arrival without knowing if it was switched to 45 days or not. Have a nice trip!
