Distance....prefer short haul. Not sure long haul would be doable for the money.

Re The Scarlet - the note on the website says to expect noise from nearby works. 🤔

I'd save your trip to the Scarlet for next year. We live nearby, and the building works are on going. For the price, go another time!!
What about Iceland? The scenery for walks is really special and there are lots of marked trails around the National Parks. You could stay in a spa hotel - Frost and fire hotel is lovely.

Sol Beach House Santa eularia Ibiza. Came back Friday, was bloody lush.

This is a bit ‘of all the hotels, in all of the world’ 😉🤣...we have been to Lone, three times...superb. Just our sort of holiday, feels open and not hemmed in.
Tempted by the new hotel Park, saw it under construction and finished.

Roving is stunning and an easy walk in from Lone.

I don't have a hotel recommendation as we went cheap & cheerful but Dubrovnik is gorgeous

We have been recommended the Aqua suites in Puerto de carmen Lanzarote.

modern, boutique style, reasonably priced , within walking distance of the resort centre and beach aswell .

trio advisor shows it as 5star.

Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. Truly stunning and you can get the little local yellow buses down to Amalfi. Very romantic but there are enough restaurants to try locally.

I prefer the hotels with some green around them, rather than those on a port or harbour side - something relaxing.

We don't mind a 10- 15 minute walk to the nearest village/town.

About to have a really good look at Das Posthotel as something very ‘green’.

@countdowntonap - what a room that is, with a private pool. Gorgeous, just not sure about the street situation of it, in terms of a relaxing green space.

Another vote for hotel esplendido port soller. Mallorca.
