We have booked a trip to a UK holiday park for a few weeks time. Also have Disneyland booked but that isn’t til early 2024. I’d like a break somewhere in between but can’t think where. Where are you all off to this year? Looking for inspiration.

We have a weekend away next month but that’s all as dh had an accident and is unable to walk far at the moment. Waiting to see if he becomes more mobile,

DH and I are having a week on our own in Santorini end of July and DC are heading to Spain with my parents at the same time

We have a long weekend in Alicante end of September

And disneyland paris for 4 nights the week before Christmas!!

Busy year for holidays wish they would hurry up and arrive

Usernamen · 20/04/2023 13:09

12 days interrailling in Central Europe from next weekend (making the most of the bank holidays in early May!)

A weekend in Edinburgh in June.

A long weekend in Ibiza in July (DP’s first time!)

Mykonos & nearby islands (Paros, Antiparos) for 10 nights in September.

Still have the August bank holiday to make plans for and around 2 weeks of annual leave left to play with this year (thinking maybe 2 weeks in India in November)

I love travel and always have multiple things booked in - makes my stressful job more bearable 😊

We've just come back from Les Arcs in France (skiing). We went the first week of the Easter holidays.

We are going back to France in the summer holidays, just before the end of them, for our annual pilgrimage to a Eurocamp just outside Paris. This year, DC2 and I have plans to head into Paris for the day, as it's only 40 minutes on the train.

TomAllenWife · 21/04/2023 07:13

We've done Dubai twice
I took dcs to Disneyworld
Dubrovnik

Later in the year planes:
Athens in June
Spain in August
Canaries at Xmas/new year

Hopefully fit something in October time

Absolutely love Disneyland at Christmas. We have done two Christmas trips and it’s really magical.

@CountryLadyLane @wingingit1987 he is getting there. He fell from a ladder and broke his foot but it’s been so debilitating. 3 months down the line he is getting there but it’s been a slow process and I don’t think he would enjoy a holiday unless he is more mobile. Will be booking one as soon as he thinks he can manage!

everyone’s holidays sound amazing. Some sunshine would be lovely.

Natsku · 21/04/2023 09:04

Can't really afford a holiday this year so I'm considering asking my uncle if we can go visit him up in Lapland, take the night train up, then I'd only need to cover train and food costs. I meant to book a week in a timeshare through my Union (really affordable as its subsidised by the Union) but I checked too late and pretty much every week had been booked already.

fairtrauchled · 21/04/2023 09:04

Weekend at Ayrshire coast May
Villa in the Algarve. June
Week in a cottage in Peak District September
Week in a cottage at Norfolk coast. September
Week in Lanzarote November

annonymousse · 21/04/2023 11:11

4 day break to Spain in july. Ecuador in November. Excited for both

Silkierabbit · 21/04/2023 13:13

We went to Maldives last November and by Easter to Azores and Porto. Nothing further booked atm as son is just out of hospital but I do have flight credits to use from our covid cancelled 2020 trip to Borneo which would love to use.

Flatandhappy · 21/04/2023 13:18

May Canada
June Tonga
August/September a month in Bali
November Goa

Out kids are adults now so this is our time.

Funkyslippers · 21/04/2023 13:38

10 nights in Turkey in July, I'm very fussy about holidays and this ticked all the boxes but very expensive

OH taking me away for my big birthday earlier in July. No idea where other than it's around a 90 min train ride and OH and DD1 were arguing about this week as he hadn't got round to booking it. Might be best if I just go away on my own 😊

PinkPlantCase · 21/04/2023 13:44

This is a fun thread! Thanks for starting it OP.

We had a long weekend staying with some friends in Belgium earlier in the year.

We have a week in the Scottish highlands booked and a few long weekends visiting family around the U.K. but nothing else really. I could be tempted by a long weekend in Wales.

We’ve just spent all our money on a house and I have a maternity leave coming up so it’s a bit of a lean year for us holiday wise. But I do enjoy hearing what others are up to!
