Any suggestions welcome! I like the look of Nana Golden Beach, Stella Aqua and Mitsis Laguna.

Looking for tennis, busy atmosphere, maybe a spa, good service etc.

Who’s going? Nana golden beach is great and very child friendly but maybe not what you’re looking for if you don’t want to be around lots of children.

Gough20 · 07/04/2023 22:36

Sorry, 2 adults plus 2 teens. Thanks 😊

I've stayed at Stella Palace last year it was amazing the waterpark was brand new. I liked that the kids could order from the snack bar within the ground and I could see them. They offer free football it was nice to watch only gripe was that it was in the scorching heat in June. GOLF is free too like mini golf that is. Horses and ponies visited twice as part of kids club activities all free too.

The hotel location was quite remote if this bothers you, the beach was separate but near by to walk to. Not the best beach but I hear that's Crete in general.

I've just looked Nana Golden beach up as I've never heard of that hotel. It looks fantastic also. Is there a big price difference OP between the 2 hotels?

I would join the Facebook groups you can get a real insight as people upload photos and ask questions.

I knew someone who went to Nana Beach and loved it.

DoctorMartin · 09/04/2023 12:03

Have a look at Euphoria

LolaBlue36 · 09/04/2023 16:42

Mana beach was great back in the day before they did it up and refurbished it so I can only imagine it's even better now!

FawnFrenchieMum · 09/04/2023 16:45

Not been to the others but loved Stella Palace. We went last year as a family and going back this year as couple for my special birthday.
Water park was amazing, food was great. Plenty of areas, so could have atmosphere or peace and quiet.
I didn’t use the spa area but teen son used the gym (small additional charge) and said that was good.

Daois Cove is gorgeous

Atlantica Caldera Palace is great. Stayed there a few years ago with a large family group from 75- 10 years old. Everyone loved it. Food was amazing and loads of sports activités etc for teens

The Kalliston is absolutely brilliant.

@ Singapore4

Thank you for the suggestion of joining the FB groups. The prices between Nana and Stella are pretty much the same, give or take.

DoctorMartin - Euphoria is fully booked.

I'll have a look at Daios Cove - thanks.

We're looking at 9 nights, price wise it's about 10k. So roughly £250 per person per day all in, inc flights. It's scary 😱

I'll also look at the other suggestions - thanks so much.

We stayed at the Iberostar Creta Panorama & Mare last summer. AI, main hotel or small family bungalows, gorgeous gardens and beautiful sunsets, great entertainment and pools, really good food despite being buffet style, lovely staff. Expensive like everywhere during school summer hols but we found a free child place with Jet2 Holidays so that brought it down a bit.

ClarabelleRose · 11/04/2023 12:38

Have a look at Grecotel Marine Palace. Lovely hotel with a water park on-site so good for teens.

Tacali · 12/04/2023 23:26

Gouves Waterpark Holiday Resort

We have stayed here, it was massive and I would say a 4 star rather than 5 star. Some of the accommodation is a long walk uphill to the main block. Lovely views, not a great beach. Elounda has better beaches and some 5 Star places.

BudgetMama12 · 28/09/2023 09:13

What did you book in the end?

Lincslady53 · 23/11/2023 18:28

We stayed at Nana Beach before it was Golden, as a couple with no kids. Loved it. They have several pools, at least one a quiet pool, and adults only. They also have a long stretch along a rocky shoreline with sunbathing patios, at different levels. As there is also a sandy beach, the families with children tend not to use this area as it could be dangerous. There are steps going down from the rocks into the sea. Old Hersonnisos up the hill from the resort has a Greek night on with music and Greek dancing in the village square, and the bus passes the hotel if you fancy a day out to Ag Nik or Spinalonga. It has been upgraded since we were there so I can only imagine it is even better.
