Would you go to Thailand or the Caribbean?

Trying to decide between the two. Could either go to the Caribbean or Thailand for 10 nights.
I’ve been to both. Caribbean feels more ‘special’ but Thailand more tropical.

Because of the different costs involved it’s
10 nights B&B/Self Catering in middle range Caribbean accommodation. Maybe Premium econ flights. Only 8 hours from London, and smaller time difference.

or it’s 10 nights in a Thai 5* hotel with breakfast. Eat dinner out every night. But flight is a lot longer and expensive. Bigger time difference.

Thailand, loved it!

Our experience of the Caribbean was Antigua, which was not great, although it was about 5 years ago. We stayed at a "luxury" resort and there was a palpable resentment towards the tourists from many of the staff there, despite our efforts to be friendly and win them over. It was so uncomfortable that I mentioned it to the management, who acknowledged the problem. I completely understand how hard it must be for the locals when they often live in poverty, but sadly, that experience has put me off from returning to the Caribbean.
