In may. Budget up to £4k for the week - any ideas?

Center parks, anywhere in a place that looks like a home eg holiday cottage. Isle of Wight was lovely.
Anywhere in a hotel was a disaster.
Club med went quite well but DC hated the kids club.

Lmgify · 12/02/2023 14:18

Following for ideas!! We’ve booked Butlins, Eurocamp and Centre parcs this year but we haven’t been to any of them yet!

Previously we’ve been to London and Devon, just in normal hotel/ BnB but it’s just like parenting in a different location.

triplecheeese · 12/02/2023 14:19

Following for ideas - would love a UK break but been tripped up by dodgy cottages before!

Camping, St Ives. Porthmeor is a brilliant beach for kids. We used Ayr and Trevalgon campsites. Our youngest camped from 3 months.

WelshNerd · 12/02/2023 14:21

Porthcawl

Lmgify · 12/02/2023 14:24

Oh and LEGOLAND, LEGOLAND was probably the best. But not sure if you want to spend a week there 😂

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 12/02/2023 14:49

Caravan park in Cornwall with all the facilities on site. Outside of school holidays yes to not too packed or expensive. Lovely beach days and day trips.

Ohhelpicantthinkofaname · 12/02/2023 14:50

So not too packed.

Really should read what my phone has autocorrected before I hit post 😂

MummyJ36 · 12/02/2023 14:52

Center Parcs - Really easy holiday and lovely staying somewhere without cars and so much on site! Can be a bit expensive but if you can avoid school holidays it’s much more reasonable.

brillianthopefulness · 12/02/2023 14:55

Center Parcs at that age is just lovely. Try Bluestone too. It's sounds like you have a good budget for this so you could get nicer accommodation too.

34and3 · 12/02/2023 15:49

First choice holiday villages. We've done most of them but Majorca and menorca are favourites

jacult · 12/02/2023 16:06

Rome, Florence, Barcelona, Loire Valley, Düsseldorf were our favourites.

Patchworksack · 12/02/2023 16:09

Clydey Cottages in Pembrokeshire. Farm animal to pet, lovely pool, little soft play, very cosy cottages with option for meals delivered. Close to Tenby for a bit of seaside.

TheSnowWillGoOn · 12/02/2023 16:44

Neilson or Mark Warner - prices outside school holidays are quite reasonable and you could stretch to a nanny for the baby.

MissAmbrosia · 12/02/2023 20:34

Sardinia www.hotelcaladifalco.com/en/ in the residence
Antibes/Juan Les Pins in an apartment. Beach is fabulous.
Gite complexes like logisdupressoir.com/ or lebanquet.com/en/

QueenMortificado · 12/02/2023 20:35

We went to Mousses with Simpsons travel which is an old MN favourite but amazing. Great mix of villas with on site bar / restaurant and a nursery / childcare facility too.

Also Ikos is great and Martinhaal

poorbuthappy · 12/02/2023 20:41

Dd1 best holiday ever. She was 5. Her twin sisters were 9 months old.
Butlins. They couldn't do anything obv so it was literally all about her.
Following year did Disneyland Paris. A few years later did centre parcs Europe.
Butlins is still her best holiday ever

peelbananas · 12/02/2023 20:42

I'm going to Antalya with a 2.5 yo and 1yo. Recommended loads by my mum friends

tortiecat · 12/02/2023 20:47

Another Place in the Lake District. Very kid-friendly. Had a lovely time when DS had just started toddling.

Tontostitis · 12/02/2023 20:50

I've been all over the world and the best holiday with little ones we had was The Isle of Wight. Easy journey kids loved the ferry, great accommodation the B and B had its own bar so once we settled them we could have a drink. The whole island is child and tourist friendly and loads to do.

anomaly23 · 12/02/2023 20:51

Ibiza

Rented apartment in antigua with a car - easy safe and beautiful

smm88 · 12/02/2023 21:11

Tui family hotels or the Holiday Villages. The kids clubs are great and the entertainment is geared for the kids

Britinme · 12/02/2023 21:17

We rented a four bedroom house in Devon for two weeks - two couples with seven children between us. Youngest three were six month old twins belonging to our friends and our nine week old baby. Older four were their two daughters, then 7 and 5, and our son and daughter, also 7 and 5. Babies shared a bedroom with parents, girls had one of the other bedrooms and boy had the smallest bedroom on his own. It poured with rain for half the holiday, but we went to the zoo in Paignton and to indoor activities, and did a lot of beach play for the second week. The kids went to bed in the evening after dinner and the grown ups had lovely civilized evenings with wine. It was a great holiday - far more relaxing than each of us having children with us on our own.

TheShellBeach · 13/02/2023 00:04

Park Dean is good.
I wouldn't choose it for myself but for kids it's great.
